Over the weekend (for my birthday) my friends and I went estate and garage sale looking/shopping. Saw a couple of sales on the estate app on my phone. Didn't really look to hard at the pictures as there were like 800 of them! But figured it would be a good sale with so many pictures.
So we drove out to the sale, which was kinda out on the boonies. Their sale was in their detached garage, so it was a pretty big building. We start looking and poking around and I hear one of my friends calling my name. In slow motion I turn to her and she is in the back of the garage and all I see is a sea of Club Scrap boxes. 100s of boxes.. those pizza boxes. SOOO many of them. Filled with Club Scrap papers/kits.
Then looking around there are tables and tables of supplies.. die cuts, stamping stuff, inks, paints, storage containers, just a massive amount of stuff.. BOXES of kits.. those kits probably had 10-15 sheets of papers, embellishments, stickers, etc. 1,000s of them. All Club Scrap. (with a few other brands, but not much).
It was so hard not to just start buying everything in sight. I had to reel my brain in and decide what I really wanted. She was an older lady and I think in her mind she wanted to get what she paid for her stuff. So some of the prices were high for a garage sale/estate sale. She wanted $5 for each kit, which I thought was kinda high for someone who wanted to get rid of so much. Nobody was really buying any of them. So I passed on those.
The pizza boxes were marked for $10 each. They were packed full of papers. I thought that wasn't to bad of a deal. I bought two boxes. The papers were great and full lines. So here is what I got for $50. (Did I do okay or overpay??)
2 pizza boxes full of Club Scrap papers - matching cardstock and pattern
20 Tim Holtz Distressed ink refillers/wire rack that they were sitting in - brand new
4 (non Club Scrap) 6 x 12 size full of 'fussy cut' type pictures inside
5 stencils
1 old cookbook
Some misc bagged items, old stationary/stickers/envelopes (going to use for my junk journaling)
I feel like I am missing something.. but just some random small stuff.
I wish I would have asked if they are going to have another sale in case they start marking stuff down. I would love to get more of that paper that I don't need... HAHA
