This is not really a vent. Just a curious “why”.
Sometimes I make an order with multiple items on the order. Shipping says it will ALL be here on Monday. But if I pick my Amazon delivery day, Wednesday, I’ll get 6% “rebate” instead of the usual 5%. So, I pick the Wednesday since it is not urgent. Now, all my items will be delivered on Wednesday, except one item which will be delivered on Thursday. Why? The item would have been delivered on Monday, but now it can’t be delivered until Thursday because you are giving me an extra 1% rebate?!
This happens often and I don’t understand why picking my Amazon Delivery Day delays an item.
Ok, that’s all. 😂

Dh asked this same question yesterday. Lol. In his case he was irritated because the item he really wants/needs is the item coming tomorrow. The rest is here already.

Where are you getting rebates? By using the Amazon VISA card. It is 5% if you have Amazon Prime, 3% if you don’t have Prime. And if you pick your Amazon Delivery Day, they’ll give you an extra 1%.

Where are you getting rebates? I have Prime, but not an Amazon card. My 'rebate' is in the form of digital credits to purchase music, video, etc - and it expires. So that's frustrating. I really have a love/hate relationship with Amazon. Currently waiting on a package that was supposed to be here on Monday. I needed it Monday. I might get it today or tomorrow. Says it's "storm delay" - but I know when and where the storms were and my package was beyond those points. Also said it needed an address correction ... on the Amazon address I have been using for how many years? Frigg it. I'd like to cancel it now, but I can't since it is in transit. I don't need it anymore since I had to go with something else. This happens A LOT. I expect a week for shipping now. But Target and Walmart can get me things in 1 to 2 days.

I almost always choose to use my Amazon day just because I'm not in a hurry, and it almost never arrives on that day. DH usually orders stuff to get here asap (which uses the same account but not the same cart) and when the truck arrives we never know whose stuff it is until we see whose name is on the package because it's not when either of us expected it to get here... It gets even worse when my MIL sends gifts for the kids to our house because they come addressed to me, and I didn't order anything.
Amazon is fun...
