I recently went to a family reunion and whoever took the group photo (which I "borrowed" from Facebook) used a weird ratio photo size to fit everyone in the picture... When I printed it as a regular 5 by 7, it cuts off the people on both ends of the photo. I use Shutterfly, and I can tell it to crop the photo to a 16:9 ratio but when I add the photo to my cart its back to cutting people at the ends off again... there is no way on there I can find to shrink the photo down and just cut the white parts off later and have it printed as an 8 by 10 or anything I don't have any photo editing software like Photoshop at the moment. Besides printing each side of the photo and pasting it back together on my page does anyone know where I could get the photo printed as is, with everyone in it? Thanks!

Would it help if I did it for you, in Photoshop? I could make a 5x7 canvas and shrink the photo to fit widthwise on that. Then when you get it printed as a 5x7, you will just need to cut the white strip off it.

I’d recommend asking the person to send you the photo via messenger, text or email. FB drops the resolution considerably! AussieMeg that’s such a nice offer!

I think I finally figured out why my photo editing software wasn't letting me log in. I complained enough that DH fixed it I don't know why Amazon, Shutterfly, and Mpix don't understand cropping is more than zooming in! So annoying.

The resolution was fine when I originally printed the photo, it just cut the people out that are close to the edges. I know Facebook used to not let me put photos from my DSLR on there unless I made the resolution lower.
