Hi everyone! I am about to get ready to take my girlfriend to see an apartment ... she needs to move soon because her landlord is selling her current place ... she is low income so it has been stressful for her ... this place looks really nice so we'll see! Then I need to come home and do some laundry ... including bedding and towels ... yay. It's raining right now ... I hope it doesn't last all day ... depressing ... Dinner is up in the air ... it depends on if I feel like cooking! This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I am the world's worst housekeeper so it's a good thing I have an amazing lady who comes in and takes care of the majority of it for me! How do you feel about housework? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

leannec - I am with you on the housework. I don’t mind cooking and I will load the dishwasher and do laundry, but the real work is done by my cleaner every two weeks. Keeping things respectable between visits is a lot easier now. Regular Sunday here - church this morning, then home for lunch. DH headed out soon after, as he was on a 3:30pm flight to Paris. I was impressed by the dedication of our priest - he arrived back from India at 6am and was there to start Mass at 10:30! I have been lazy since lunch, knitting and watching tennis on TV. My dinner tonight is the leftovers of the delicious chicken I brought home from our dinner out on Friday night. I will cook some fresh rice and maybe add some vegetables to eat with it.

Ds does the majority of the cleaning here, except dusting. I’m not thrilled to do it but enjoy the results. I need to get into the kitchen to unload and load the dishwasher soon.
We are planning to have burgers and pasta salad for dinner but just received an invitation from dd so we’ll see about going there. I really don’t want to leave the house again until I go to work on Tuesday morning.

Happy Sunday!
I detest cleaning but I don't have anyone else to do it so...
The rain is jut getting ready to cut loose. Supposed to stick around all day. DH just got in from mowing the yard and I have been doing laundry.
YDS is coming over for dinner and just hang out.
I am going to fix beef tips tonight.

DH is off on an ATV adventure with some buddies so Walker and I have the day to ourselves. Other than a trip to the grocery store, I’ve got nothing planned. It’s going to be a hot one so I took Walker for a walk early this morning. Now we can sit.
I really don’t like housecleaning, almost as much as I don’t like cooking, but it’s up to me so I have to deal with it.
Tomorrow my week of childcare starts bright and early at 6 am. DS and DDIL want to get an early start on their 10 hr drive so I’ll get the boys off to school/daycare in the morning.
Supper tonight will be a fend for yourself. DH will eat a late lunch on their ride.

Good morning.
I don't mind housekeeping, but I just don't have the elbow grease and I can't get on my knees to scrub anything like the tub or floors. So, I do what I can. Dh does the deeper cleaning, when necessary. If I could I wouldn't mind doing everything myself. I wouldn't mind hiring someone to come in an do a deep clean once per month, but that won't happen. So, I do as much as I can. I like my house to be company ready and after the living room renovation I hope that will happen. Right now the clutter from boxes and tools, etc. is very annoying.
We're going to do a family escape room this afternoon and tonight we'll go out to dinner. Ods is on his way over and we'll all be together. Woohoo!
Enjoy today, my tribe.

I hate housecleaning.. always have. last 15 yrs we have had a lovely woman who comes 2x a month..
doing laundry.. went out to breakfast, so no lunch. not sure what is for dinner or what we will do. rained all morning, now just cold and cloudy so time to start the car cleanout and action around what will fit into the car.
dh has figured out a way to fit a heavy table into the rental suv.. so we will do that later in the afternoon and move it to storage.
I should finish up looking at kitchen too.
lunch tomorrow with sister in law and brother.. it is their 41st wedding anniversary. they got married 6 months before us.

I hate housecleaning. Because it's difficult for me to get on my knees my DH helps with the bathrooms. He's very helpful. I do miss the days I had a housekeeper.
Recently I started PT and my guy says I need to build up a lot of strength. I used to work out regularly but got out of the habit when my fluff ball came to us as a puppy and would nibble on me. 😂 I do not miss puppy teeth. Now if I'm on the floor he will stand over my head and look down on me or come in between my legs while I'm trying to exercise. He is sweet.
Tonight I will make Orange Chicken salad using the lettuce from our garden. There is something lovely about going into the garden and picking items for the meal. Though remind me of that when I complain about how many tomato plants we have. I just spotted a volunteer also. Our neighbors and dh's work will love them.

Hi friends! I'm back home. Got in from the airport just before 7 this morning. Took a shower and fell asleep. I feel bad that I slept in later than planned, as DH wanted to go to a baseball game today. 🙈 I think we will go to a midweek game in June since we both have Juneteenth off.
We had Chinese takeout for dinner, and I'm hoping to sleep well tonight. My first flight was very easy. Second one hit some rough air over Minnesota, and I was on again, off again chilly. The flight attendant said they didn't have any blankets. 🙄

OOOPS!! Just found this. I wrote it hours ago but neglected to actually post it: We missed our usual Mother’s Day brunch because DS and family went to Lake Tahoe that weekend. So today, DS, DDIL, and I went out for brunch instead. Sort of an upscale Mexican cafe near where they live. Very nice. I brought home half my chilaquiles and will probably just fry another egg to throw on top and have that for dinner. And maybe zucchini. I bought too much last week. Tomorrow AM, we’re supposed to go to the cemetery for an annual Memorial Day thing the police department does for its fallen officers. I have friends and family coming. So far: DS has tested positive for COVID (he and my BIL just got off a cruise ship, and I spent an hour in a closed-up car with them yesterday, plus brunch today); the gentleman friend has some other respiratory crap going on, which I also have been exposed to, he shouldn’t be exposed to COVID too, and probably can’t come anyway; and both of my other friends who are supposed to be there have medical issues that don’t need to be complicated with COVID. And I’m not sure anyone from the PD wants to be exposed, either. I’m still planning to go, but I’ll wear a mask and keep my distance from everyone else. If anyone else shows up. arggh A peaceful Memorial Day to you all. oh, I don’t do any housework to speak of. Too much of a princess for that. Housekeeper comes most Mondays.
