Stay safe DFW peas!
Our tornado sirens went off around 5:30 am so we hunkered down in the interior bathroom. A tree fell into a house on my sister's street. Looks like the worst has passed me by but it's going to be stormy all day.
A very scary morning around here.

Oh no, stay safe! You guys have been getting hit hard the last couple of weeks. The HQ of my company is in Plano. I have several employees in that area, checking on them as well.

Stay safe, DFW Peas! I heard this morning that over 600,000 people are without power. With these stifling temps- that's just miserable.
We have a good chance of severe storms again tonight. We haven't even got everything cleaned up from the last one yet.
I'm over this.

5:40 sirens woke me. Rain was coming down hard--looked the rain I saw in hurricanes. Limbs fell in neighbor's yard with big loud cracks. TV service went out, but we have a radio for alerts etc. We lost a small tree (a desert willow). DH has sawed it up and it is on the curb. We just came in to rest. We have no internet--who knows how long that will be out, but we have power and RV is back.
Many others are in much worse shape.

How scary for all of you in the affected areas. Stay safe and check in when you can.

6 am sirens and phone sirens went off. We have quite a bit of damage in our town. We are still without power and aren’t holding our breath that it will be back today. So far with the cloud cover it’s only 76 in the house.

They're predicting another round of storms tonight but I don't think the wind will be as much of a factor. 78mph winds were clocked at DFW and were hurricane-strength. No confirmed tornados but lots of cloud rotations. I hope that we get some relief soon.

The power back on for us. It came on around 5:00. We are thankful because much of our town is still out. Praying for those without power and the workers working hard to restore it.

My sister was in The Colony and she was saying they had gusts right up to 100mph. I believe it. We were at 80 here by DFW airport. My parents got power back last night but my niece is still out 24 hours later. We're supposed to get a small storm here around 11 but Thursday is supposed to be bad again. I'm so over the spring.

Yikes. I am so sorry. We (us in the panhandle) usually get more rain and storms that we have this spring. It seems y'all (DFW) have gotten our portion on top of your normal portion. Hopefully things will settle down and get back to normal, though, normal this time of year is HOT HOT HOT for y'all.
