My sisters are my best friends. I love this! Even though I have a best friend of 50 years, I still miss the relationship that I would have had with my sister. We were teenagers when she died, so we didn't get to enjoy a close relationship as adults. I know that we would have been close. I'm sorry AussieMeg ... such a loss! I'm an only child so I don't get to enjoy a sister relationship but my dd's are getting more and more close as they get older ... when they were young they fought like cats and dogs!  They still have their issues because Emma (the older one) is very judgemental of everyone ... Molly HATES it ... understandable ... but when you get down to it they would do anything for each other  |

AussieMeg, many hugs to you. I’m sorry you suffered such a terrible loss at such a vulnerable age. christine58, I didn’t mean to ignore your question, it was just so many hours between when I read it and when I posted that I forgot.  Thanks for asking. I will post an update in tomorrow’s thread.

well.. I left the house outside seattle wa at 5:35 am.. caught the 6 am ferry and pulled up at home at 9:28 pm. good driving. then my dd helped me unload the car. which took about 10 minutes --it was packed. I snacked all day.. so no dinner. two medical appts tomorrow with a mandatory call with social security in between..
and back to dog walking and there is no dog food at the house .. so tomorrow will be full!!!
I have a best friend who I met at 4--in 1960. and I visited with her and my college buddies this trip.

Gotta jump in on the bestie thing...My sister KelleeM is definitely on that list and she is 60 something❤️❤️❤️
My other bestie I met the first day of school in 1968...So come September 4th it will be 56 years!!!
Even though she moved across the country we still manage to get together at least once a year....
and together via Zoom a couple of times a month....and we chat often😊😊

I've always said my bff is the sister of my heart. We met pre-kindergarten and while have lived in different states for 20+ years know we'll always have each others backs. Love her!
