My computer just had an update so when I logged in this morning it was encouraging me to update to Windows 11. I'm a creature of habit. I hung onto 95 (I think that was the number) until I was forced to buy a new computer. Loved 7 and only gave it up when I bought another new computer. So I still have 10. Part of the reason is I have a few programs that probably won't work with 11. I'm wondering if I'm the odd duck out and everyone has switched to 11.
So, what say the Peas.

I'm on 10 still - my computer isn't Win11 capable and I'm not in any hurry to replace (or upgrade the hardware) since it's more than sufficient for my needs.

I’m in the boat of having software that likely won’t work on 11 so I’m sticking with 10 on this one. I need a new PC anyway because the battery stopped holding a charge (which is another whole deal entirely) so I’m just kind of holding out until this one completely dies before I upgrade (and make sure to have everything backed up all the time just in case it does).
I’m getting the smack down on both computer fronts since my newish MacBook Pro is also having issues and needs a $700 fix that I’ve been putting off.

I'm the same. Just got from vacation and when I powered up my PC it was wanting me to update. Threatens that security will end in 2025. That's a year away so I wait until then.

I have 10, which is what came with this computer when I purchased it several years ago. In my opinion, it is not user friendly for the "technology challenged" (that would be me). Specifically, I think it's complicated to use for organizing and printing photographs.
I miss windows xp, it was easy for me to use...especially for organizing and printing photographs.
I won't be getting a new computer, until my current one no longer works. Then I will using whatever operating system comes with whichever HP desk top computer, that I find on sale or for the best purchase price.

Still on 10 at home and at work. I like to let them work out thw bugs on the early adopters. At work, we have programs that arent compatible with 11 so we arent switching there either

I have 11 and no issues. However, I NEVER update the operating system on a computer to a new version. That computer was setup and tested with a specific operating system. This may be old school but I remember the days when upgrading an operating system on an existing computer created nothing but headaches.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro at work; at home I have a Mac. To be honest, I didn't know 11 was out.

I no longer have a personal laptop. For work I just upgraded to 11 last week. ITS has been asking us to upgrade for months with a deadline of June 30. But they started hounding those of us who hadn't yet done so about a month ago. I finally gave in last week. So far it's been fine. I told a coworker I delayed so they would have the bugs worked out. Really though I was mostly just lazy about it.

10 at work, because our inventory control system doesn’t play well with 11.
11 at home, and I don’t have any problems with it at all. Very happy.

I have one computer with 10 and one with 11. I like them both equally, I have no preference.

I deliberately bought a new laptop that had 10 because I heard 11 forces updates (& without regard to what you may be in the middle of). They are notorious for releasing updates before the bugs are worked out! I got it loaded with software and then unplugged it & set it aside to use this one (which runs 8.1) until it dies.

I recently got a new computer, loaded with Windows 11. I was not ready to switch from 10, as I am a creature of habit, but I've ended up liking it. I do, however, still think fondly of XP.

I have two laptops for work, one for my company (which is American) and one for our client (Canadian). The client laptop forced me to update to 11 last week, we have a deadline to update for my own company laptop but I think it's about a month away.
Both company laptops keep sending messages say I have option of Classic Teams or New Teams - but both are forcing New Teams only this summer.

My dh won't let us go up to 11 because of all the bugs. I don't really care. The laptop I mainly use is my work one and we are still on 10. 12 is in the pipeline and by the time they get 12 ready, 11 will have worked out the bugs.

My current laptop is not eligible for the free update to Windows 11. So once support for 10 ends, I'm out of luck. Not that I ever use support lol.
I also use the current "Windows Live Mail" on my laptop for my personal emails. I use gmail for my business (own my own domain though). And now the shift is to Outlook mail. I keep getting notifications for it. BUT I cannot connect my email to Outlook. The support staff at my provider has walked me through it and can't figure it out either. UGH
I'm due for a new computer - and this time I want a Mac. But I'm waiting until August - my vehicle payments that come out of my work account bi-weekly will be DONE and that $$ is going to go towards a new iMac for my office. Then my little laptop will be stripped of all the surplus stuff and will become my food printer laptop for doing printed cookies. Yay!

Windows 10 goes end of life October 2025, so you have some time. 11 has been around for a couple of years already, so I do think a fair amount of the bugs have been worked out, but with Windows there are always glitches (well any OS really)

Part of my job is helping people with computer issues (very low-level stuff). And as a rule, 10 is still performing better than 11. Too many bugs inn 11 still. We have customers operating very industry-specific software programs, and they usually work a lot better with 10. Don't even get me started on how they pushed out New Outlook and New Teams too soon! It's like they launched it with only half of the normal features available. Especially regarding creating/inviting to Teams meetings and selecting invitees from your contact list in Outlook. We all still fondly remember XP aswell. Everybody knows you will be forced to upgrade at some point, but I am hanging on to 10 for dear life as long as I can. Unless they bring XP back
