I've been up since 5:15 when DH got up to golf at 7:00. I found out last night that the woman sitting next to me in the plane tested positive. As did her DH. So the 4 people from the trip who are positive are the 4 who I hung around with the most. Of course. I've got a test going right now. Luckily my 8 tests have extended expiration until 11/24. Also, luckily I have no commitments until next Monday. ETA: So far I'm negative.Dinner will be Jalapeno Popper Chicken. I think I'll share a couple of photos a day so as not to overwhelm y'all. Mount Rainier as we were flying to Seattle: At the Bergen Airport, letting us know which bathroom to use.

Happy Thursday!
It's another stormy day here today and I've already heard of a few power outages around the area. I hope it's not as bad as Tuesday's storms as some of my relatives just got power back on.
Tonight will be chicken & mushroom risotto in the Instant Pot. Super easy without all of the stirring. I'll probably have my parents over if it's not too stormy out.
Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Thursday! Waiting on a crew to arrive and pour the concrete pad for our generator. Afterwards I need to run to the nursery for a few supplies, as well as a few plants/flowers to replace some that didn't fare well in that big storm 2 weeks ago. Also going to do a little shopping in the gift shop they have. It's a reward points redemption week and I have a ton of points I need to use up. Afterwards I'll stop by Central market for fresh produce. Once I'm home I plan to get some sewing done. scrapmaven - What a hot date you have planned - breakfast and baseboards! Good luck at getting those baseboards finally! cadoodlebug - I loved those restroom signs when DD and I were in Bergen and shared a photo on my Instagram. Has to be a frequently shared photo as they are such clever signs. No clue what dinner is since it's housekeeper day, but there is a pizza in the freezer that is a candidate.

leannec, how is your migraine? I hope it went away. It went away for awhile yesterday and now it's back because it is raining again! I am not working today because there were no good jobs and I have this stupid headache ... going to the pharmacy to pick up some meds for it soon ... I'll do little to nothing until my head feels better ... Dinner, if I want it, will be shrimp spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce ... easy peasy! Love your photos cadoodlebug! Oh, and it is Molly's 21st birthday today ... here is my beautiful baby!

Happy Birthday Molly!! She's beautiful.
I need to get flowers for my pots, I still have not done it. I may suggest tonight and then I can plant tomorrow night after work. If that plan happens, dinner will be take out.
We have a robin nest outside our bedroom window, the babies are about ready to fly. I will won't be surprised if they are gone when I get home from work. I will miss watching the little babies. There are 4 off them.

I’m currently in a neighbouring town waiting for Walker to be groomed. There wasn’t much use in driving home and turning around to drive back to get him, so I brought my book and found a park. I’m now sitting on a bench in the sunshine and enjoying the quiet. I’m on grandboy sleepover duty tonight so supper will probably be frozen pizza. Happy birthday Molly! cadoodlebug: Fingers crossed for continued wellness.

Hi friends! I'm still tired from last week (ugh! I did message my NP/PCP, and she said that if I'm still feeling eh by the end of the week to let her know. She said it could be that I'm just run down or am coming down with something...lucky me.).
Dinner this week has been salads with chicken on top. Went to Costco yesterday, and will go grocery shopping tomorrow. I've enjoyed having this week off. I've been lazing around for about an hour after DH starts working each morning. I finished reorganizing the closet and pantry earlier. I bought 2 sets of 50 hangers at Costco because I was sick of our mismatched assortment. 51 dress shirts, polos, sweaters, and flannels later, his side is finally organized in a decent fashion. I also moved all of his other clothes to the dresser, and put mine on the bookshelf we're using as a makeshift dresser in the closet.
I also donated some old stuff of mine yesterday on the way to pick him up at work. As I got back in the car, a guy pulled into the spot next to me. I was like...uh...did I do something wrong? He motioned for me to roll down my window. I did, and he said thanks for doing what I was doing, and that he was inspired by what I did. Definitely didn't expect that.

Everyday my posts disappear as I’m typing. It’s weird so I haven’t been posting. Happy Birthday to your beautiful Molly leannec. lucyg are you up for travel? In Germany they’re doing immunotherapy. Busy today getting birthday gifts for my great nieces. They turn 1& 3 Taking Luke to the party because dd has a 40th birthday party out of town. Also have tons of projects going the shower I’m giving my nephew’s fiancée in 4 weeks. I’m making a bar top shelf for a spritz and mimosa bar. Working on signage and decor. Also doing some house things. Dh has clients staying here next week for the Memorial tournament. I’ll get it all ready then head to the lake. Dinner most likely is tilapia with broccoli, Swiss chard and red potatoes.

teddyw, I like the way you think. If going to Europe could help lucyg then I'm all for it. Good stuff to research, Lucy. So, I did something wild and bold. I just signed up for voice lessons after years and years of wanting to re-train my voice. I am a contralto(think low) and was just starting to learn to sing arias. I won't ever perform, again, but I'm doing it for fun. I'm very nervous, for some silly reason, since being on stage has always been my home. This is even on stage. It's in a practice room. Oh well. I'm excited but nervous all at once.

scrapmaven that is very exciting! The will be so much fun. I really wish I could sing. I mean, I can sing, but I want to be able to sing in tune! I forgot to tell you, I finally ordered that jigsaw I showed you a while ago. It was delivered on Tuesday. I will get it out on the weekend. Two days ago I got a text from my bank to say that they had blocked my credit card due to possible fraudulent charges. I looked at my account, and there were two charges from UberEats, for $93 and $94, plus another three charges pending. Luckily I don't use that account anymore, so there was only about $250 in it. And because it's actually a Visa Debit card, they can't take out more like they could with a credit card. The bank cancelled my card and opened a fraud claim for me. I'm sure I'll get the money back. 🤞🏼

AussieMeg , that is going to be a super fun puzzle. Take a peak at EEBOO puzzles. You might find them lots of fun, too. I'm not sure if the brand is sold in Australia, but you might want to look on Amazon in your country.
Also, AussieMeg, we just had credit card fraud last week. It must be scam season. What a pain in the beheeney. Thank you ladies for supporting me. This is all about having fun. My performance days are long gone, but it'll be nice to sing around the house and know that it's not hurting anyone's ears. Dh has been trying to get me to do this for many years and he finally got through to me. I'm anxious about this, but looking fwd to it, at the same time.

Good morning. We had a fabulous dinner last night. The main restaurant at the hotel where we’re staying has a Michelin star, so we decided to reserve for dinner last night. They do set menus and there were 3 choices - Roots, Blossom and vegetarian. Roots and Vegetarian had 6 courses and Blossom had 7, but you could choose to have 4, 5, 6 or 7 courses, depending on the menu you chose. I went with Roots (classic with a twist) while DH chose Blossom ( light and modern) and we both went for 5 courses with wine pairings. In addition to the menu courses, there were 4 additional extras - two ‘amuse bouche’ before the starters, a palate cleanser between the main and dessert, and chocolates to finish. It was stunning. A few pictures: All the dishes were small but delicious. It was quite expensive, but an absolute dining experience and well worth it. It was also slow (in a good way) - we were there for about 4 hours! But in another ‘what are the odds’ episode - about half way through our meal, the man at a nearby table left their table for a bit, and on his return came over to us. It was our neighbour from Munich, as in - the couple from the other ground floor apartment in our building. There are visiting her mum, and left their little one with Oma for a nice dinner! We are 400km from home!

scrapmaven that sounds wonderful. I studied opera for a short period of time. I loved it. My voice now is out of shape and because of my sinus issues and how they impact my voice I stopped singing. I recently was asked twice in one week to sing for events but declined. It would be nice to take lessons again. You will have to share how you like your lessons. Today was a busy day getting things done around the house and garden. We had the tostadas I was supposed to make yesterday.
