I’m updating my wfh space. I really want an electric sit/stand desk. Not too expensive but not so inexpensive that it’s crap. Do you have one you recommend? Or have suggestions on things I should look for in a sit/stand desk?

The ones that attach to an existing desk are small and dont have much workspace. I would probably look into a full sit to stand desk over an attached adapter.

I have an Uplift desk in my craft room. Love it. Lots of options to customize it.

I see Flexispot advertised a lot by YouTubers. You can find it on Amazon or their website.

I have an L shaped desk, and have a Varidesk cube corner that sits on the desk. I like it. It's big enough to hold 2 - 27" monitors, full-size keyboard and mouse. It is a manual, but not that difficult to raise and lower. My coworker has one that is automatic and I'm jelly. And he doesn't even use the stand up mode.

I am not sure the brand or cost of mine as it was provided by my company. It is pretty heavy duty and I think I got a 5 foot one. My main comment is that it was delivered on a pallet and it is heavy. It took all that I had to just pick it up and push it inside and then I needed help putting it together and moving it around just because of the weight. So be prepared as metal legs and motor do add weight if trying to move it by yourself. Good luck, hope you find one you like.

I have this same one, and if you don't need a lot of paperwork on the work space to work this is great. I have certain tasks that I can use just the keyboard and mouse. But most of my work requires paperwork and you can't fit a lot on the surface once it's raised. And it is easy to raise and lower.

I have a document holder that adjusts to almost vertical to almost horizontal and it fits behind the keyboard. If you have a lot of papers, that wouldn't work. But for what I do, it works great.

DD has this standing desk from IKEA. We bought it in 2020 when she had to WFH. It is still going strong and never given her any problems. They have several other styles and colors to choose from.

I don’t have one, but am also looking for one. We stayed at an airbnb that had a glass top one. I didn’t care for the glass top as it felt very cold.
I like the look and space on the IKEA one linked above.

I have a workbench from Home Depot. Crank, not electric, but it’s heavy duty and looks great. I looked at electric and decided I’d rather not have it stuck in either position if it fails.

DH ordered his from Costco. No complaints. Same here. I love my Costco sit stand desk. Especially since I'm short and at the lowest position it's comfortable for me to sit.

I have an Uplift desk in my craft room. Love it. Lots of options to customize it. We have two Uplift desks that we bought in 2020 and still love them. Do I stand as much as I should? No! But I'm very happy with my desk. For me, it was worth getting one of their fancy keyboard trays we could mount underneath as well. And I also have one of their dual monitor stands (monitor arms?) that work very well, too.

I have the larger desk from this same line. I’ve had it for 8 years and it’s still going strong. It got me through university and now I use it for a computer/scrapping desk. At one point I considered getting another one so I’d have more room but I’ve no place to put it 😆.
