and one photo you can't unsee! Photo 11 link Why is this house so expensive compared to comps in the area? Does Photo 11 add value to the house?

House is in need of rehab? I think it's the tenants in need of rehab. Looks like a strung out addict with filthy feet. Sadness

So basically the lot is selling for $350,000 because that’s not a rehab and upgrade, that’s a knockdown and start over.

Oh, that's so sad. I imagine that house being built back in the day, and so much work and effort being put into it, and then how pleased it's first owners must have been to move in to it, and then for it to now look like this.
And then you know that there has almost certainly been real struggles happening with whoever's lived there over the last however many years as well for it to look that way. So all around it's very sad.

I can’t imagine someone paying $350,000 for that, unless like mentioned, they just want it for the property to tear it down & rebuild. I am sure at some point that house was truly loved & cared for. What a shame & yes, sad.

Can you provide more info so I can google? When I click the link it takes me to Redfin where it says they think I'm a bot. There's no option to say I'm not.

The last one looks like the trap door where they keep the hostages. I can't believe it isn't condemned. We had a home like this in the next neighborhood over and it was right on the water. Some druggie inherited it and used it for parties.

I literally lol'ed when they described that as needing "mostly cosmetic" work.

It looks like this home was staged for a TV show to look like a crack house. My goodness.

My guess is that it wasn't well cared for to begin with, then was nuked in one of the hurricanes. There are a lot down there that just haven't been rehabbed. But it's not even a stupendous location - the lot doesn't seem worth the price. I mean, it wouldn't be a cheap cheap spot, but not worth that much for just the land.

I was looking for an actual human body, but making the image larger I see now it is only part of the legs on the bed. Gross. I thought perhaps the photo was removed because on two different sites that particular photo is not posted. Guess they were smarter about the listing.

I'd like to understand the pricing, is this area more historical than others? I haven't been to Galveston in years and we stay closer to the tip. This foreclosure isn't exactly nearby, although in the same tourist heavy area. 2202 67th St, Galveston, TX 77551 www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Galveston_TX/schools/Austin-Middle-School-0768611841 Seeing legs and feet only is scarier than a whole person.

I'd like to understand the pricing, is this area more historical than others? I really don't think it is. I'm not an expert, but we go down there at least once a year. We're not sure if we can go this year since my daughter is taking a college class 4x a week, but if we do, I'm going to have to look! But I think it's in the kind of run down - not in a historical kind of way - area. I could well be wrong, though.

If you think new neighborhood houses are squished together now, those old houses are really squished together. There is nothing quaint about the neighborhood.

The soles of the feet aren't actually red, they're black with filth and dirt from the floors. So gross. I feel ill.

I love that there is a mop in the bathroom. Like, look, we tried to clean it up. Also, why is the thermostat on the wall crying? There are so many random stains and what appears to be black mold. Mostly cosmetic work? That place is a total redo. I always thought Texas was pretty cheap. Housing wise. This seems very expensive for such a small lot and a non livable house.
