The whole house is painted an off white - I think it's BM Swiss Coffee. We have not updated the paint since buying last summer. While I love having color on the wall, if I was choosing something different for my craft room I would go for a brighter white.

Pink, of course It's more of a mauvy pink and I'd like to change it to a lighter brighter pink someday but honestly, the thought of moving everything away from the walls exhausts me. Pink is also my favorite color. About 20 years ago there was a small specialty store in one of the end spaces of an upscale strip mall with two walls of floor to ceiling windows & the other two walls were painted Benjamin Moore Ribbon Pink 2087-60 with Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65 trim. (Apparently so many customers had asked for the paint information, they had the brand/colors posted upon entry.) It was stunning!

Mine is “inspired lilac” by sherwin Williams. Its funny, I don’t even particularly care for purple shades and was thinking of a yellow or pink as I love both those colors but at SW I just saw the color and it was true to its name “inspired” and I grabbed a sample and went home and painted and then went for it. It is newly painted. I am really enjoying it. It’s colorful and peaceful and fun without being loud.

... PaperAngel I am glad I don't have any desire to paint it because then I would have to decide on a color and i really don't want to. ... I can relate, since I too find choosing a paint color daunting, given the number of shades of any given color (even if focusing on just one paint manufacturer)!

Thanks for your responses. Like many of you, my craft room walls are an off-white/ultra-light grey as a background to black furniture, except for a wheat-stained project table & a white slipcovered oversized chair & ottoman, & colorful supplies.

I've been in my new home for 1.5 years. Before moving my DH was with me in Walmart and we saw paint on sale. There was a $5 can with a lavender dry spot on top. Glossy sheen. My DH mentioned on what a great price it was and to bad no one would want it. I picked it up and said, I do. First room painted when we moved in too. I've never been able to personalize my crafting area before because I never had my own room for it. Got a L-shaped desk so the short end I could video game on and the long end to craft on. So nice to just because to close that door and relax.
