As a spinoff of this thread, what color(s) are the walls in your craft room/space? If you were to re-paint the walls today, would you chose the same color(s)? If not, what color(s) would you choose, & why?

For the moment I scrap in our study/office, and those walls are a dark beige. A warm color, which I like, but still not a shade we chose ourselves. When we do paint in here, I'm thinking probably something in a light sage or dark celery. My scrap room is an empty room waiting to be refurbished right now. So my walls are 3 layers of paint on top of at least 6 layers of wall paper---as far as we can tell from what we've been peeling. The funny thing is that the last owners painted around their furniture, so my walls are currently peach, but with big white rectangles where the bookshelves and dressers they owned used to be. And when we took down the molding, we found green paint. All on top of the wall paper layers. I'm looking for a bold color in there--I'm thinking a marine blue sort of color. It's a long, narrow room with a ton of natural light, so I don't have to worry about it being too dark. And I'm going for a wood ceiling. There had been plaster, but before we moved in there was a leak and the plaster ceiling came down. They threw some dry wall up just to have a ceiling, but it's not finished or painted, and I have no qualms about ripping it down. So right now peach, with white boxes. In a few years' time, probably marine blue, with no boxes.

My craft room is the same color as the rest of the house. A light beige-ish color. It is actually a 2nd master bedroom and it is attached to a bathroom so painting it would require painting all of that too. No thanks. I am ok with how it is.

Right now one wall is wood paneling (real wood, not the fake stuff) and the rest of the room is white. No idea what shade of white, it was this color when we moved in and this is the one room in the entire house I haven't painted in the last eleven years.
If I had to pick a new color, it would probably be really light or neutral as there isn't a lot of natural light in here... but if I had an actual craft room, not a corner of an all-purpose room, I'd pick something more colorful!

the whole house is a neutral creamy white except two of the bedrooms which are aqua/blues. I would prefer a crisper white but not enough to repaint (the previous owner painted).

My crafty corner is in the dining room in the middle of the house, visible from almost every part of the house, so it's just the color of the living room - cream with honey-oak-ish window trim. I face a wall of large windows so what I actually look at is a privacy-frosted window pane and the wood trim, and there's just a small wall of the cream to my side. A step beyond that is a cheerful yellow kitchen, and on the other side of the window pane is a dark blue house, both of which I can see when I look up Cream wouldn't be my first choice, but it goes really well with the wood and adds some light to a room that could be quite gloomy.

My scraproom is DS's old bedroom that he moved out of years ago when his next oldest sister was in college and he moved into her room (all agreed-upon beforehand). So DS had chosen the wall colors in this room when he was a pre-teen and chose bold bright colors.
One wall is a dark marine blue (not-quite-navy & not quite royal), 2 walls are a much much lighter blue in the same family, and the smallest wall (because it has the closet) is fire-engine red, which was his favorite color at the time. When I scrap my back is to that wall, and I face one of the light-blue walls. The room (despite being small) actually has a lot of natural light, especially in the area where I scrap - windows on adjacent and facing walls. I embraced the colors and found an area rug with those colors (plus tan & khacki). It looks very nautical. I like it - not what I would choose, but it works and I don't want to repaint.
If I were choosing paint colors now, I'd do white on the wall I face and probably the adjacent ones, then some kind of pretty green (lime possibly) or teal/peacock on the small wall with the closet. Could also go with a pink (not too bright but not baby pink) on that wall.

My room is a light shade of grey. I don't mind the grey but I would love to put wallpaper on one wall but not enough to take down shelves and move a big cabinet.

My craft room is the extra bedroom. One wall has to two almost ceiling to floor windows, the wall opposite that is a large closet and the door off the hall. The other two walls have top and bottom cabinets along the whole wall in white. My wall color is the same color as distress oxide Salvaged Patina and I wouldn’t change it.

I do not like grey at all. I know it is a fan favorite, but for me it is depressing. So when I found a color that appeared to be tan in one light and grey in another, I was apprehensive. I did end up liking it and it reads tan in my room overall. I have white shutters and molding, so that matched really well. This paint is on all four walls and just looks so different.

My entire house is Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray. I love it. It goes well with all the white trim.
If I was going to paint my craft area, it would be either a soft white or pale, pale blush.

Okay, now keep in mind that my wall was painted many years ago, maybe even two decades ago!! My lovely DSO painted one wall to mimic a piece of striped SEI paper. We went to the hardware shop and picked out all the colours to match the paper, and then he set to work. I wish I still had that paper to show you what a great job he did to copy it! Obviously now it is well and truly outdated. I told DSO a year or two ago that I was going to paint over it, and he was really disappointed because of all the work he put into it. One day when he is out, I will just paint over it, and see how long it takes him to notice. Here is the "masterpiece":

Mine (was until my son moved back home) is a light blue..almost a Tiffany blue, but more aqua I guess. And yes I would use the same color.. I LOVE it. Although it doesn't look like I'll ever get my room back... unless we move.

All of the bedrooms (& bonus rooms) in our home are en suite (with baths & walk-in-closets). Wall colors in the bedrooms (& bonus rooms) are not the same as their attached baths &/or walk-in-closets. Therefore, IMHO you could easily change the paint color in your craft room without repainting the bath &/or closet. Given your whole house, including the bath & hallway, is a neutral/beige, you could paint the craft room any color you wish! What color would you choose?

Mine is just the same gray as the rest of the house. I hate it because it's neutral and boring. But I also hate painting so here we are.
A few months ago I decided to put up a gallery wall in my craft room. I covered most of two walls with my acrylic paintings. Now it's bright and lively in there and I love looking up and seeing the artwork!

Pink, of course It's more of a mauvy pink and I'd like to change it to a lighter brighter pink someday but honestly, the thought of moving everything away from the walls exhausts me.

My walls are painted white. I have one black bookshelf and all the other furniture is white. No carpet or rug -- just hardwood floors. I love it!

Even my Cricut Joy and Copics add color. PaperAngel I am glad I don't have any desire to paint it because then I would have to decide on a color and i really don't want to. To me it goes just fine with the white and birch furniture. Yes, that's me. No dark wood and I like things to match. Also, the bathroom is one of those with a separate room/door for the toilet, but open entrance to the bathroom, so i would never just paint the room and not the bathroom.

My walls are white & when I repaint, they'll stay white. The room is teensy & I'd feel boxed in if the walls had a color on them.

My walls are an off white as I prefer to bring color in with the accessories. So I have olive green curtains, mustard chairs and a rugs with complimenting colors adding in some purple and blue. Then my rolling carts are blue. I have high ceilings in my space so it makes changes happen more easily and for less $$!

My area is part of an unfinished basement, my husband painted them bright white for me. Since I have no windows I needed something bright. I have thought of moving my room upstairs to the office I work in but I have too much stuff. So I’m happy where I’m at.

I scrapbook in my bedroom (or sleep in my scrapbook room😌). I just had my whole house painted and my room is Benjamin Moore Snugglepuss. It’s a medium lavender/purple and I love it.
