If you have one do you like it and would you buy it again? They are pricey, but if it would make cleaning the litter box easier I might be willing to spend the money.

We bought one for MIL when they initially came out years ago, hoping that it would help cut down the nasty scattered litter and the smell in her house. When we visited her a few weeks later we saw that it was unplugged and full of poop. We asked her why she didn’t have it plugged in and she said that the cats would go in it at night when she was sleeping and when they jumped out it would turn on to self clean and it was too noisy. Plus she said that the cats peed so much that the clumps would be huge and clog it up. Hopefully some of those initial bugs have been worked out in the years since, but for her it was a total fail. ETA: we were so disappointed because the thing wasn’t cheap and she ended up not using it at all.

We have the Litter Robot 4. I ended up getting the 3 year warranty just in case since the one it comes with is only for one year. We have 3 kittens and they’ve been using it for several months. You just have to figure out the right cycle time after they use it. I’ve tried several different litters to find the one that works for my cats. You can check the litter level, how full the waste bag is and the cats activity with the app. It’s also super quiet when it cycles. I would definitely buy another. I’ve actually been considering another for upstairs since all of my cats tend to want to go at the same time.

I was not interested in spending 500+ on the robot. I ended up buying the Petsafe scoop free system. You have to buy their litter which runs about $20/month, but it has worked great for my cat. It's pretty quiet too.

We have an iRobot and love it. I could not have a cat without it. Seriously. It makes things so easy, all I have to do is open an air-tight drawer and grab the bag to throw away. It is connected to our wifi, so I know every time she uses it and what she weighs, as it has a scale built-in. Between that and the Pretty Litter, I feel like I can keep an eye on her health, too.
Edited to add: Ours is pretty quiet, also. And I did buy it again. We have one in our winter place, too.

PETKIT Self Cleaning Cat Litter... www.amazon.com/dp/B09KC7Q4YF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareI got this one a couple months ago after resisting for a long time. The app is clunky on my android but seems ok on DH iPhone. He gets a notification when the litter compartment needs to be emptied. It also weighs the cats and when you determine which is which, you can name them in the app and track their box time. It's a Chinese brand, but that's like everything else today. It's fairly quiet and all the cats seem to prefer it to the old type box except one. It senses when they enter and waits a time before starting to clean. If they approach while it's going, it stops automatically. I use Arm & Hammer Slide clumping litter. It sprays a little puff of "pet safe" air freshener inside after it's done rotating. It's pretty cool. I'm going to buy another one eventually, first I want to be sure it doesn't break down in the first few months.

We got a Litter Robot 4 in December. We took in my MILs cat, which made 3 cats for us. It was worth all the money. I never smell the cat litter.
