I used to be very anal about it and it would never go over four or five unless I posted something stupid and the peas yelling and quoting me and I could come on here and think what the heck happened.. haha.. For the last year or so I have gotten very lazy about it... once it creeped up to over 100 before I checked it... I don't know why I don't check it. Anyways, that is my fluffy post for the day.  |

I check every day and clear it out. Sometimes people tag me asking for something time sensitive on the scrappy board and I want to make sure I see it.

I've got mine set that I only get a notification if I'm quoted or tagged. I don't get notifications for likes. This makes things very manageable. Also, I pea mostly through the Tapatalk app on my phone and it's spotty whether notifications even work. Sometimes, it'll go months at a time without any notifications at all. So please forgive me if I have no idea that you're talking to me. LOL!

Every time I look at the board. Me too. I don't like seeing unread notifications anywhere - here, Facebook, my emails. I have to check and make the numbers go away! At least now, thanks to jeremysgirl, I know I can turn of 'like' notifications, so I've done that and will only see tags and quotes from now on, hopefully. |

Everyday for me too. I am on a PC so it makes it easy to look at.
I do get notifications on my phone, sometimes!, for quotes and mentions.

You can clear it? I don’t see that option on the website. If that’s the case, I have 10 years of notifications. I’ve never cleared it. I do check it if I have a number in a bubble next to my profile, so that would be as often as I’m on the site.

Profile
Edit Profile
Notifications
Then select or unselect what you want to be notified for.

And THANKS for posting about how to just get notifications on quotes and tags... I didn't even think about that being an option. Cause those are the ones I don't want to miss. I mean I love it when I get 'likes' so keep on liking.. haha

Any time I log in, if I see a notification, I clear it then. (In other words, I view them to get rid of the notification number on my profile, so they are marked as "read" and the notification number goes away) (The notification itself is still there but the notification number is now gone)
I don't have them often, but when I do, I take care of it right away. |
