I heard about these from the peas and I use them for all of my grocery shopping. They work especially well when you have to scan and bag everything at a self-checkout place. I don't get many plastic bags anymore and I recycle the ones I do get. If I've just taken them, I'm one of the ones that has 5 or less at home.
Anyway, just sharing these again in case you missed it the previous time and also since the topic came up. They really are the best! I like them so much better than foldable cloth or thick plastic bags (they're foldable too). They live in my car and I hate grocery shopping without them. A quick search pulled these up on amazon. They are "Reusable Grocery Bags, Foldable Shopping Bags for Groceries with Reinforced Bottom & Handles"

They look amazing. That said, there are 2 flights of stairs up to my place from our parking garage, so hauling groceries and other heavy things is a bit of a pain. Are they so large that carrying them when they're full might be a problem? AKA: how much larger are they over a regular reusable bag?

And cuter patterns since the last time I ordered.

I think I put those on my Christmas list, and DH cheaped out and got me these horrible things without the thing to reenforce the bottom... maybe I should just order these for myself

I learned about them from the peas, too, and I also LOVE mine. I don’t use them for groceries (I like paper grocery bags for my kitchen trash) but for a million other things. They are the best thing ever.

I love these bags! Learned about them here, of course. lol. I've bought sets for both dd and ds, and they love them also.
Now of course I want another set only because I see cuter patterns than what I have! hahaha

Are they so large that carrying them when they're full might be a problem? AKA: how much larger are they over a regular reusable bag? It's hard to compare measurements to an ordinary reusable bag because these aren't floppy. They fold flat, but inside is a rigid piece that folds down on the bottom to make a solid surface so they sit flat, and won't topple over like a regular bag. The ones I have (not exactly the same as the ones Susie showed) have the long handles like in her picture, but then there are also short handles on the ends so you could carry it with two hands. I find this easier if it's heavy. Personally I don't think they're difficult to carry when full, but of course that might depend on how heavy you make them. But size-wise they're good. Also, because they sit flat and won't fall over you could always set them down on the step for a minute if you wanted to rest.

I bought a set when they were posted on here a while back. Mine aren’t cute but they work. I don’t take them in the store but should. I usually put my bag in them but sometimes they are good for things that would be more difficult to put in a bag from say Costco. I love that they have long handles to make carrying them in the house easier. They are also great for pickup up curbside if you don’t get bags snd you can just grab these. I used to have boxes in my trunk but these are much easier.

I have those in a different color, but they look the same structure wise. Yesterday the bagger said they are her favorite bags. She had just loaded them up with a dozen bottles of water. So strong. We have 6 of them. Two for my vehicle and four for my husband since he shops more than I do.

Add me to the list of loving cubes. I use them for everything, not only my groceries. I have also gifted them to others.
Mine are quite old and seemed to be more fabric where as the newer ones I’ve purchased for people seemed to be more coated. That is not a bad thing as it is easier to wipe down. I do like my patterns of blues more than any of the newer patterns. I haven’t looked in a bit and will have to check them out again.
ETA - baggers also often comment how they really like this style. 👍

Lets say one is wide enough for like a boxed frozen pizza.. you could overload them but yeah they are not giant, but big enough for a good amount of items.

Mine are years old and still look great. I love them. Most of the time I just put my groceries right in them, with no bags. I take a Clorox wipe to them regularly.

I use them *as* my bags, have never put another bag inside. I try to use self-checkout when possible, so I scan all my items and put them on the checkout tray area (we're not allowed to put them into our cart until we've paid). Then I open a couple of these bags in my cart and put everything directly in there, then carry them straight into the house. The only problem comes when I sometimes forget to put them back in the car. But I've been getting better at not forgetting that by leaving one opened in the house and putting my purse inside it. hahaha

One the best “Pea-enabler” products ever! I just checked my Amazon history and mine are the “ Earthwise Deluxe Collapsible Reusable Shopping Box Grocery Bag Set with Reinforced Bottom”. I bought them In January 2023. They do appear to be a little “cloth like” and I like the handles on the ends as well as the straps. I don’t take them in the store, but load the grocery bags in them in the trunk.
I like that they are smaller than the plastic collapsible crates we had from Costco. Those were heavy to begin with, plus they slide all overmuch the back of my SUV when empty. Our stores still use plastic bags (they always seem to be out of paper bags)and these totes are wonderful. I don’t have stairs, but I do have several steps up from the garage into the kitchen. I’m not very strong and these make it so much easier for me when I go to the store by myself. I load the bags in the totes, distributing the weight the way I like. If I find the totes are too heavy when I go to pick them up, I just take a bag or two out. I then take my tote back to the garage and get the rest of the bags.

They look like they are made of the same material as the fabric bins they sell for use in cube style storage furnishings. Is that right?

I have also bought some as gifts more recently (from the same place/link) as I got mine and they were more of a coated material…a mix between the fabric bin and those shopping bags you can buy at the store for about 1.00. They are much easier to wipe down. So I think it depends.

It is really weird, I quickly went back through my Amazon orders for 3 or 4 years and can’t find them listed anywhere. But I do have one left in the package from the last grouping I bought and it was through Earthwise, which is where I also got the ones that are more cloth like. I also didn’t specify for either what type, I just kind of ordered what they had. The more coated ones came as a 3 pack in 3 different colors (purple, blue, and maybe yellow?). They were white with colored lines and colored straps. I can post the purple one if you want. Sorry I am not more helpful. But I will check out my orders again.

It doesn't look like these are insulated. Can anyone confirm? The ones that I have are not insulated ETA - I usually bring a separate bag for meats. Not always, as it is usually only a 10 or 15 minute drive home but I try to use them mainly for dry goods, baked goods, and fruits and veggies

compeateropeator thank you for checking. I really don't need anymore- I was just curious because of the wipeable surface.

I have 2 insulated ‘basket’ style totes from Aldi’s that I love & always shop with. I can fit 80 of my groceries in the 2 baskets. Both fit side by side on top of the carts at all of my local stores then I gave a canvas reusable bag for the last 20% which is canned goods cleaners & such. Wegmans has the perfect carts for this I get the cart with the smaller top basket then it has a bottom basket that I put my baskets in while I shop and a ledge right in front of me u see the handle. After I put all my groceries on the belt I place my basket side by side in the top, put my canvas bag on the ledge with the handles over the loops these are no the top. Everything is open and easy to pack as the stuff gets rung up.
