karenlou my 3 basil plants are in the vegetable garden because they grow better with tomatoes. I also have a lot of rosemary. It's in a pot because it can get invasive. So I do have those herbs too just not in this planter box. I can't wait to cook with fresh herbs.

I also have a lot of rosemary. It's in a pot because it can get invasive. We had a hedge of 5 huge rosemary plants on the garage side of our yard. Recently they have been dying so we don't know if it's old age or something else. DH is thinking he'll take them all out and plant agapanthus as they can't be killed!

Hi dinner peas! We are having some kind of pasta with a mushroom sausage sauce. One of my eyes has been irritated all day since the wee hours of the morning, so I went without contacts today and my muscles are all tensed up from hovering over the keyboard so I could be closer to both monitors for work. And I had to give a training refresher this morning for some of our team members who are going to be taking on new tasks in the next few weeks. I made the commitment several days ago and I didn't want to reschedule at the last minute. Our team generally has a lot of meetings that we're required to be on so we had time today and tomorrow. Turns out some of them had not yet read all the documentation I sent out 2 days ago...I put them on notice that they will be expected to have read it tomorrow and bring their questions. <eyeroll>...I dislike when co-workers are not prepared! Making a Target run after dinner to get some eye drops and hopefully tomorrow will be better. cadoodlebug - ITA about trying to get the Little Mermaid photo! Yours came out really beautiful! It was overcast the day we were there, so no sparkling blue water in my pic, it was sort of gray to match the gray sky. Oh well! We also visited the castle. DD was fascinated by the sheer number of bicycles all over Copenhagen! jeremysgirl - your plants look great! Ours are getting their fair share of rain (hot & stormy again today) but are not nearly as big as yours yet.

sueg that's so frustrating! What is it that they are looking for, that hasn't shown up on the CT scan? Have you been in any pain? Tearisci sending hugs and positive thoughts for you sister, for a successful surgery. I'm sorry about your great aunt stormsts. cadoodlebug my DD did her last university placement in Denmark back in 2019. They went to see that statue, because everyone raved about it. They got there and once they finally got to the front of the big crowd, and were able to take a photo, they were like "Hmmm is that it?!" The castle is very impressive! bklyngal62 that is so frustrating! I hope it gets finished very soon. jeremysgirl I love your herb garden!! What are you growing in it? There's nothing better than being able to walk out your back door to pick herbs fresh from your own garden whenever you need to. In the warmer months I grow Thai basil (my favourite), Vietnamese mint, normal basil and normal mint, rosemary, sage, dill, spring onions, lemongrass, galangal, and of course, coriander (cilantro). I use a lot of coriander, so I usually just buy it rather than grow it. But I always like to have some in the garden for emergencies. I also have two kaffir lime trees, because I use a lot of kaffir leaves in my cooking. It makes me happy to see your lovely garden.

After jeremysgirl's thread about garlic the other day, I finally decided to make Spicy Garlic Butter Linguini, which is a Marion Grasby recipe. I had bought the garlic bulbs a couple of weeks ago to make this dish, and just hadn't gotten around to it. The recipe uses 10 cloves, both sliced and chopped, and that's just for two people! This is one recipe that you absolutely need to use fresh garlic rather than from a jar, so I didn't need to curse Anthony Bourdain this time. Then DSO told me that he and his girlfriend would be home for dinner, and I could not be bothered slicing and chopping up another 10 cloves of garlic, so for them I made Kevin & Amanda's Spicy Sausage Pasta. As always, I used chorizo, because you can't get turkey sausage here.

AussieMeg all I've got to say is thank goodness you didn't "ruin" that dish with jarred garlic. 😂 In this herb garden I've got thyme, dill, cilantro, oregano, and parsley. I've got a pot of rosemary and a potted blueberry bush. In the larger garden I've got two different kinds of tomatoes, basil, two kinds of sweet peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, snap beans, and a lemongrass plant. This is our first year growing a garden and I'm damn excited to see these plants grow. 😉

DD was fascinated by the sheer number of bicycles all over Copenhagen! We found that in all the Scandinavian countries! When my pictures of our free day in Copenhagen appear, bicycles will be included!

sueg, it just sucks that you have to have an MRI. I hope that you'll get one tmw and that it shows that a benign something. stormsts, I'm so very sorry about your great aunt. May her memory be for a blessing to all who knew her. Dh grows a thriving garden every year complete w/herbs and veggies. This year the snow and snap peas finally had a chance to grow before something ate them. I credit myself for telling him to grow them in an earth box. The furniture arrived yesterday and it is gorgeous. I'll show photos of the room, once the baseboards are glued in and the furniture is completely in place.

sueg that's so frustrating! What is it that they are looking for, that hasn't shown up on the CT scan? Have you been in any pain? The doctor said that the CT scan wasn't clear enough, as I have a number of fillings and crowns which obscured the area of interest. I am not in pain, it's just annoying and I want to know if I should be worried and if I am going to need surgery. scrapmaven - no way will it be today! I'll be lucky if I get a phone call today or tomorrow. None of the doctors I've spoken to seem to think it is anything dangerous. In fact, when I freaked out at one point yesterday, the doctor kept repeating 'Nicht böse' which literally means 'not evil'!
