That's what 20 CB and EP lines just announced? And except for a b-side here and there, not one of them is exciting me. I don't think it's because it's June and most of them, are holiday related, it's that they all just look like something I already purchased from them five, six and seven years ago. I'm underwhelmed.
I will get off my cranky old lady perch now.

I'm a maybe for the London collection but tbh - we're planning on two weeks in the UK and only 1 day plus a morning in London and I wish the collection wasn't so specifically London themed. It seems like every collection for England/UK has the same icons - London Taxi, double decker bus, Big Ben/Clock tower, Tower bridge... and there's so much more to London and the Uk in general

Thank you for sharing!
Not a fan of the colors in the family collection, but that's just my opinion.
I like pet collection but I really wish they would mix up the typical pink colors for cats and primary colors for dogs. I'm not generally a fan of pink, but we have a girl dog and she is definitely a diva.
I like the school collection, especially the book paper.
I like the London collection.
I think London and Paris are a little different from previous collections, but the others seem familiar themes, colors etc.

I would have loved the Paris and London line years ago. No need for them now.

Eh. Nothing I need but could be swayed to picking up some of the dog line for the B sides.

It is not this company specifically, but I feel like I have lost my love for pretty, pretty paper. I don't think I have bought any in a long time. Even stuff I wanted I did not end up buying.

I could potentially use the London collection. I am currently scanning photos from my trip to the UK way back in 1994. I haven't scrapped any of the photos yet.

Echo Park Family - I like the color palette but too many flowers and the fonts are boring. When I think of my family, I don't think flowers.
Carta Bella Back To School (by stevenduncandesigner) - I know this should probably get a pass because it is retro, but I am so tired of apples and star students. Not every kid is a star student. That being said, there are a couple of papers I like. I already have a Steven Duncan school line so I might mix a couple of new papers in with that. Best In Show (by stevenduncandesigner) - I like this one. I love the variety of dogs depicted and I love the paw stencil. I hope he releases one for cats, too. London (by stevenduncandesigner) - I don't need it, but I like it. Paris (by stevenduncandesigner) - I don't need this either, but it is nice. I like the color palette. This is the only time the Eiffel Tower doesn't make me cringe in a travel line.
As always, I like the stencils and the solid papers and hate the stamps.

IMHO the company's decision to reveal 3-4 months of releases simultaneously makes the repetitiveness of its themes/icons/color palettes/etc. more noticeable!

I'm not liking the color palette.
And flowers don't make me think of my family.
And the font bothers me.
Why is Back To School so retro? I feel like a broken record, but how many decades ago did students stop using chalkboards? Who's bringing an apple to class? Is every single student a star student? Really?
Why can't we have chromebooks/laptops?
Are there really so many of us that have that many photos of us/our parents/our grandparents attending school that these theme items would be relevant?
Oh, and I somehow thought the Best In Show line would be performing school/theater kids. My mind didn't jump to pets, but I guess that's just me.

I like the BACK TO SCHOOL LINE. It’s just difficult to get school photos of grandkids, nieces and nephews.
No use for LONDON or PARIS… I would love NEW YORK CITY or SAN FRANCISCO or CHICAGO or HOUSTON or AUSTIN or NASHVILLE. Doesn’t anyone travel in the US?

I appreciate that a lot of the market is in the USA, and I've been lucky to travel extensively through the USA, but I'm glad there are travel lines that focus on non-USA destinations. Of course, I'd really love to see more lines that aren't city/country specific so they could be easily used by all of us, no matter where we've been.

How weird! That is exactly what I thought. I don't think most families are represented by flowers. And I hate that font- it is so not interesting.
Why is Back To School so retro? I feel like a broken record, but how many decades ago did students stop using chalkboards? Who's bringing an apple to class? Is every single student a star student? Really?
Again, exactly what I thought. I don't even know what they are thinking there. Obviously designed by people who haven't been in a school building for 25 years. Because that is the last time I taught with a chalkboard and without a computer. I hate apples to represent teachers. It just has nothing to do with me. A cup of coffee would be a better representation. Kids don't bring apples to teachers anymore- they gift coffee mugs. I hate the emphasis on being A students, too. My nephew doesn't get A's but he continuously gets awards for being kind and having a great attitude. I wish they focused on things other than the grade card.
Why can't we have chromebooks/laptops?
The last good line for that was Campus Life, by Photoplay. It was college oriented but there was a lot of things in it that applied to middle school and high school too. I've already used the computer and calculator images. The colors were good, too. I wish they would make an elementary line that was more modern, too.
Are there really so many of us that have that many photos of us/our parents/our grandparents attending school that these theme items would be relevant?
That has always been my issue with Steven Duncan lines, even back in October Afternoon days. Some themes lend themselves to a retro feel but a lot of the time it just seems weird. I love his papers, and do buy some of them, but sometimes it is a challenge to use. That being said, I love a retro Halloween image. For some reason Halloween doesn't seem weird to scrap vintage.
Oh, and I somehow thought the Best In Show line would be performing school/theater kids. My mind didn't jump to pets, but I guess that's just me.
My mind went immediately to dogs because the movie Best in Show is hysterical. Do they really label kids "best in show"? That being said, I think the dog line is something that works with a retro feel. Dogs are pretty timeless and it is different from any other pet line I've seen. I hope he does one for cats- I've been having to use his Halloween paper for the cat images.

The problem is there really aren't any US travel lines either unless you go to Disney. I would love a Portland or Seattle line or a road trip (NOT retro) based line. I am going to Washington DC next year, I need all the stuff!

It is not this company specifically, but I feel like I have lost my love for pretty, pretty paper. I don't think I have bought any in a long time. Even stuff I wanted I did not end up buying. Based on responses in these new product/reveal threads, it appears many of us are fatigued by the industry's repetitive/formulaic/predictable themes/color palettes/icons/sentiments/etc. on a loop. My spending has certainly dwindled in recent years as a result, & paper is my favorite & most-used supply (but in this feminine/floral era, there are few papers that appeal to me & then I usually already have the same, similar, or better in my inventory)!
