I received an Epson PM-400 for Christmas and have been using it with HP Advanced Photo glossy paper because that is what I had on hand, and the prints are beautiful. However, now I'm out of paper and wondering if I should purchase Epson photo paper instead. Has anyone used both and can comment on whether there is a difference - is one brand better than the other?

I have not, but FYI they have good sales on the Epson website. Not sure how often, but probably if you sign up for their emails you would be notified

I prefer matte photos. I got matte photo paper on Amazon to use with my PM-400.

I've used the HP Advanced as well as Epson and Canon photo papers, and they all print beautifully on my PM-400.

I prefer the Canon glossy papers and I use those exclusively in my PM-400. I think it just comes down to personal preference.

I've printed on a wide variety of papers. Different brand photo papers (glossy and matte), journal cards from AE and Elle's Studio, and cardstock. The PM-400 seems to handle everything quite well. That said, I do like buying the ink/paper combos from Epson. It's just a great deal. And it's what I use for most of my printing.
