Just curious, I would love to add my niece to the list. She just graduated and got a job teaching 3rd grade where she interned at. She is so excited and needs a bunch of stuff since it is her first year. I was hoping it would be okay to add her.

Congratulations to your niece. My ods is a newer teacher and loves teaching. Around July/August the wishlist thread will pop up and I will happily contribute. Teachers need so much stuff and the peas have been more than generous to my son.

I will patiently wait!!

Ha ha - I'm sitting here in Ontario thinking "but we still have 3 weeks of school to go here it's too early for fall lists" LOL - We don't start the new year until after the September long weekend usually.

What? ?? oh my goodness that seems so late! The teachers would agree with you! As cakediva said, kids are in school until the end of June. They go back on the Monday after Labour Day. There are periodic Professional Development Days and Statutory holidays, 2 weeks off at Christmas, 1 week March Break. The summers in the North (used) to start later than in the South. If you figure the actual days of teaching, about the same. I'd rather be in school in June and not go back until September than get out at the end of May and back in August.

I’m in VT and we have 3 more student days and 5 teacher. It can’t get done soon enough. This was the most difficult year I’ve ever had.
