Hi everyone! I'm posting super early today because I'm meeting my mum at Denny's for breakfast!  I'm not too hungry so I'll probably just have two poached eggs and black tea ... No other plans today other than to straighten up a bit in the condo before my cleaning lady shows up tomorrow ... This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I took out half of my bathroom the last time I tried to do something without leaning against the wall ... not fun! I have learned my lesson!   I haven't even thought about dinner tonight ... something easy! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody! |

It's weird how as we get older (or in my case fatter) our balance goes off kilter. Back in the day I used to be able to do just about anything on roller skates! Haha ...I really need to get my skates out and dust them off again. Practice my balance some more.
I have been trying to finish a book this morning. But it's after 10 and I really should get this day underway. I have to head to my mom's. I need some clean laundry. I'm going to do a load there to last me until my new washer comes.
I also want to stop at target. I have a few things I need and I'm thinking that will be the best place to get them. However I will just say, I haven't been in target in like 3 years. So I know I'll get in there and want to look around like I've never seen the place before. Haha...
I'm just going to have another Greek wrap for dinner tonight.

DH and I are getting ready to walk but I wanted to post first. Today’s photos are from day 10 of our trip ~ Stockholm. This ship is a 1628 warship at the Vasa Museum. It once sat on the bottom of Stockholm Harbor. Fascinating!  This is where we ate lunch that day ~ had Swedish Meatballs. We didn’t partake of the roasted reindeer which was on the menu. The basement was incredible, we sat upstairs but they told us to go down and take pictures so we did.   Dinner will be Horseradish Meatloaf. |

Today was church in the morning then a lazy afternoon. cadoodlebug - we loved the Vasa museum. I just wished we had a bit more time there. I think I also ate at that restaurant with my sisters. We also had the meatballs as it was the daily special. scrapmaven - Swedish meatballs in Sweden have been yummy every time I’ve had them. |

Happy Sunday!
I'm just doing a few things around the house as I'm tired because I didn't get in until after midnight. I was hoping that my dog would sleep in more with going out so late but he was up at 7:30 so I was up with him. I'm sure I will try and get a nap in sometime today.
I'll be heading over to my sister's for some pool time this afternoon. I have mushrooms and chicken to use up so I'm going to make risotto in the instant pot. Easy peasy.

It’s been a lazy day here aside from grocery shopping. I’ve already had a nap on the couch 😊
Dinner will be baked macaroni and cheese with kielbasa and broccoli. DS is cooking!
Yesterday DS jumped a huge hurdle and got his driver’s permit. I’m so grateful for this tiny step forward.

DH and I took our bikes to the waterfront this morning and rode 27 km. Our path went right by SIL’s apartment complex and we saw her sitting out on the beach. We stopped and had a quick visit with her.
We got home just in time before the weather turned. It’s now raining off and on but not bothered by it since I’m sitting on the deck reading.
Supper will be pulled pork fries for me and grilled burger and fries for DH.

Dinner will be AF panko pork chops, corn on the cob and tater tots, a nice unhealthy carbo load for dh. Wish I had something more exciting to report.

Aww... KelleeM I love it good for him! Esther drove on a permit for 2 years. She was the most nervous driver ever. My mom dated a driving instructor for a while and without him, I don't know if Esther would have ever gotten her license. Well I was sleeping about 6 months ago dreaming about the ghost of my brother doing all sorts of antics in my house and I heard her voice clear as day say, I don't miss driving! I woke up laughing thinking of all the things to visit me and say, that was what she chose. It made me giggle |

went to church this morning.. practicing very high piece in choir and will sing it next week. I am the only one who can hit high notes sometimes. so I do it solo (6 person choir).
I am going out to help a friend from high school.. he does cross country bike trips..sharing his love of jesus. he is finishing the last 50 miles near me and asked for a ride back to his end point. I thought. why not I can do that and help him out. on tuesday, he is starting another bike trip from san francisco to boston.
dh is out with friends so I may make dinner, but who knows. went to three stores after church.. if I cook it will be lemon pepper chicken. super easy and quick.
fog and sun today. and checking out the open house next door.. the house is being sold for the first time since 1968.. they did a quick remodel and i want to see it.

The first person to see my house after the remodel was my next door neighbour!  She was so curious! We always went to see every house that went on the market on our cul-de-sac as well ... ex is a realtor so super easy to get access! Now I'm in a condo but I went to an open house here last year too! Have to compare ... mine's way nicer! |

KelleeM , that's a big milestone for your ds. Congratulations to him. do you marinate your pork chops before you put them in the air fryer? The last time I made them in the air fryer they were really dry |

Well, I made short ribs in the ninja pot and they were delish. Also had paella that the gentleman friend brought from a party he attended last night and it was fantastic (chef made, I think). Plus I made more Mexican chicken/veggie soup to share, and baked a cake which was too dry but still tasted good. I’d better make another one just to be sure I know how to do it right.  He also brought over bread and pastries his daughter made. So everyone is eating very well here.  |

We went out for dinner with friends. I chose the ribeye, which I should have remembered from last time was okay, but not awesome. I should have had the filet mignon. I wanted the choc orange soufflé for dessert, but they were out. Instead, I had an apricot pudding with caramel sauce. That's a great step for your son KelleeM ! Do you have to do a set number of hours with a licensed driver there? jeremysgirl I used to love rollerskating, and later rollerblading. I would be trepidatious about doing it now, I'd worry about falling and breaking a bone. I used to be so fearless, I hate getting older and losing that fearlessness. |

I am an alto who can sometimes sing high.. but if I rehearse over and over I lose the tone and the breathe control. so I only practice a few times and save my voice as much as I can.
I am not much of a music reader. but can hit the note on the top line of the treble staff. I can sing pretty low. over the years my voice got lower.
I really sound best singing girl scout camp songs (Ha ha)..
