I don't have a routine. I try to keep the kitchen table somewhat tidy. That's where I do my actual scrapping. I could clean up everything else fairly quickly when I choose to do so. Most of it is in containers or binders I slide into my Kallax/Expedit furniture. It does get annoying stacking and restacking Iris containers I have in a corner of my living room.

I tidy up as soon as I can't find something! It's usually my tweezers, scissors or 6" ruler that goes AWOL, multiple times during a crafting session. For actual cleaning, only at the end of the task/project unless it would affect the end result. Stamps/inks get wiped immediately.

I don’t clean after every project. I’m also not the person that has to do the dishes before they go to bed. I’m a messy scrapper and tend to work from piles. I clean when I run out of room or have time.
Now that I’m retired, I’m curious if I will be more tidy without the time constraints. But I tend to be a piler so I doubt I will change much.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I enjoy hearing how everyone keeps their rooms!

I'm definitely messy more often than not. Where I have created and established rules for myself--not messy. Examples would be project-based pursuits, like Christmas and WITL, or some sort of project that's intended to meet an external demand. But overall: Messy. It's actually part of my process at this point. If I am working on something and have recently done a bunch of other things (let's say layouts in this case), I will try to grab something from the general chaotic mess around me first, and that often leads to cool stuff that I would not have thought of. I'm not a big "collection" scrapbooker most of the time, and I don't generally like to scrapbook from a set collection, so I like to put things together that aren't intended to be used that way. Not all the time, but as a general rule.
I just broke out my 5-year-old Cricut that I received for Christmas one year for the very first time. I used it to make a baby shower banner for my daughter's shower last weekend, and I also made signal flags for the babies (triplets), and then some other things to come up with a "guest book." For that project, I did clean up as I went. I am pretty sure when I go upstairs today, there will be little to no mess at all left over from that crafting hurricane.
In general, though, I tend to let my desk get pretty messy and leave it that way until an event occurs that forces me to clean it up. The event could be that it has reached critical mass state and I can't function any longer, that I am starting a new project, that people are coming over--anything like that. I'm not saying it's an ideal way to manage my creative space, but that's basically what I do.

Based on the description I don't think I am the youtube channel but I do share clean up videos on my channel. I tend to touch on things in my voiceovers for these videos that pertsin to *me*. I believe we are all different and we view/think about things differently and that is what us makes all uniquely awesome. I am one that does not clean up after a project. I tend to work in a cycle of batches. I plan and print photos and map out my projects for the month. Create the projects. Take photos, edit the images and videos. Schedule all that content. Then do a room reset to get ready for the next month. This works for ME. This makes sense to my brain. I share this process in videos as they are requested and because for some reason they seem to get way more views that my layout videos - so there must be an audience for that type of content. I try to address that I am aware a lot of people do not work like me. They clean up immediately and cannot imagine anything else. Again, we are all different brought together by a hobby. I love all the unique differences. I love your cleaning videos (and all your process videos too)!!

I clean between projects. What counts as a project varies. It could be an entire month of project life or just a week. If I'm making cards typically it means a single card or set of cards in the same design. When I switch design I need to put away the old and start clean. For 12x12 layouts it's one layout (single or double). For my own creativity, I have to start fresh with a blank workspace to move forward because my previous supplies are distracting.
This only pertains to my workspace. The rest of my room can be disorganized. However, I'm currently in such a small space that I keep it organized on the daily because I don't have enough room for random stuff to be left laying around. Having a small space has kept me much more organized because otherwise I can't get to my desk.

I clean some things as I go - like toss washi tape back in the drawer - but some things (most things!) just pile as I work and things get cleaned up at some point. Sometimes I might watch a video and put a few things away during it and now the mess is 50% less and then I just add to that mess pile until the next time I clean. I almost never clean up both my desks all the way at once. I am used to working from piles and it just feels more creative somehow than a sterile table. 🤣

I just watched her 7/10 videos. Wow, that was a monster mess! It makes me kind of thankful I don't have enough space to get in that situation. The longer I do this hobby the more I realize I need fewer options, not more. I find I use the same basic stuff over and over and need to rotate my supplies so I get use out of my purchases. I like new stuff as much as the next person, but don't have the space to keep the old and the new. I'm a big purger. I used to struggle to trash scraps, it felt wasteful. But I'm much better about it, especially patterned scraps. Once I've used up most of a patterned paper or most if a collection, I'm over it and want something new.
