I can’t remember if I’ve ever shared this story, but…
Years ago, I was waiting on someone at my family’s restaurant, and he had tattoos on his face. It was kind of jarring… his appearance gave me a certain vibe, but he was honestly SO DAMN NICE. Like, one of the nicest customers I had ever had, and I’d been waiting tables at that point for 20+ years, so a lot of people. We had a great conversation while he was there, an actual one, where he made me feel like a real person and not just a surface, be-polite-to-the-server convo. He also tipped well, which is always appreciated.
After he left, I talked with my coworkers about how kind of weird it was, because even though I think I’m pretty open-minded, I clearly had a pre-conceived notion, which he totally blasted away. And I didn’t totally understand why he would tattoo his face, because I figured it had to make a difference in his day-to-day life, with people judging him like I initially did, and how did that affect his work, and was it hard to get a girl to go out with him, and what did her parents think, and so on.
A day or two later, we start having customers talk about how they came in to try us because POST MALONE had eaten there and shared on social media about how great our food was. 💡 🤦🏼♀️
So, yeah. I knew his name at that time, but wasn’t familiar enough with him to recognize his face. (Again, this was years ago!)
So, that’s my story, and why I try really hard to not judge anyone based on their tattoos. And I 🥰 Posty to this day, and will forever more. What a sweetheart! Still sad I don’t have a pic!

I'm not a fan of face or neck tattoos just because of the people they're usually found on (Metthew who got them done by his cellie in County while awaiting trial, Methanie who got his name on her neck waiting for him to get out). 9/10 gonna pop positive for amphetamines, grow more and more belligerent as the night wears on, make threats to leave AMA if no pain meds are given, and gonna be escorted out by security along with the skinny SO who "knows my rights". Of course, there are exceptions to everything.
If you're a musician, artist, tattoo artist, or something creative like that, it's different than your cousin's neighbor who always shows up with a cup and no money for the keg because he hasn't had a job in three years. I particularly like the looks-like-they-used-a-ball-point-pen-cross on the forehead. 🙄🤣
ETA if someone leads with an intelligent conversation and a pleasant demeanor, I'm certainly going to reciprocate. Usually the two don't go hand in hand but I'm always willing to give the benefit of the doubt!

Very nice story.
I don't understand face tatoos. For one, they have to hurt like heck, but I too try very hard not to judge.
Post was just recently in the news about him singing with Blake Shelton at the CMA Fest last week.

Not aesthetically something I like. But as with any other physical characteristic, I try not to judge based on that alone. Better to let someone show you who they are rather than than making assumptions based on appearance.

Aww, I love that story. Posty seems like such a sweet guy. Yeah, I don't get all the tattoos, grills and large earrings. But I'm all in for his upcoming country album!

Eh just don't care. I don't have any tattoos, but really don't understand why people get so hung up on them. My nephew's wife has a face tattoo not my jam, but whatever. I've unfortunately found terrible assholes from all walks of life - I guess the silver lining is I don't assume anyone is "nice" because they're stereotypically "presentable" - I also don't assume anyone is an asshole if they're not.

He's from the next town over from me and I've heard lots of good things. Glad to know he is a nice as he is rumored to be.

I always wonder why someone would choose a face tattoo, unless it is cultural.
Otherwise, I do my best not to judge for appearance choices. Honestly, I would be pierced plenty if they weren’t such a PITA to heal. (2 years past 2 lobe piercings that are being a nuisance in healing.)

I work in a women’s detention center. I would say that 95% have a face tattoo. 99% have at least one body tattoo. Many have gang affiliations, and their tattoos have numbers, letters, or other signs to identify which gang they belong to.
I can’t let them use a pen in class because they will steal them and use the ink to self-ink. No staples or paper clips because they can be used as “needles”.
This sheltered southern girl had no idea some of the things that go on. 😎

I don't love them but your body, your choice.
I always (as a woman of a certain age) wonder about aging. that is the best your skin is ever gonna look, how will your carefully curated artwork look when your face doesn't look the way it looks now??
not face tattoo related but reminds me when I saw a woman in my prenatal class that had a celestial sun around her belly button. at 8 months pregnant, it was interesting so see it stretched and distorted. I always wondered what happened after that baby came out?
