Congratulations on your retirement! I've been retired for 5 years this month. It's awesome.
I have taken on a second "career" as a hockey grandmother, since my grandson moved in 2 years ago to play hockey in Minnesota. Life is getting easier again, since he got his driver's license yesterday!

Congratulations! I'm retiring September 1, which is my 25th anniversary at my job. I'm so excited! DH and I are taking off on September 8 on a road trip to San Francisco for a 15 day cruise to Hawaii, then hitting Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley, and other National Parks on our drive back to Texas. I am beyond excited!

Retirement is the best job ever!
I retired 3 years ago after a 33 year career with the same organization. And like the other poster, I’ve never opened my eyes in the morning and wished I was going to work!

Woot! let the countdown begin! I didn't tell my employer until 7 weeks prior. It was the last day I could and still get my pension on time. I just didn't want people thinking I was half-azzing it my last year of teaching.

Well, getting some rest Tackling some organization projects Spending lots of time on my genealogy and my crafts Visiting with my sister; visiting my DD more often Walking more and exploring the new areas nearby Road trips to see some of the out of the way places in my province

Dh retired a few months ago at age 52. I'm still working my ebay sales about 10 hours a week. It has been fabulous so far. We have been on two trips and are doing lots of home improvements. Our youngest just moved out a few weeks ago as well so lots of new changes.

Wonderful news!! Congratulations.
I'm semi-retired. I was going to pull the plug this year but I've decided to sign one more contract and end next June. I work from my home office 2x a week and my plan is to save my wages for the entire yr to have "play" money as needed.
