Has anyone been watching the misogynist and overall disgusting text messages that Trooper Proctor sent to family, friends, and his fellow officers (including two of his superiors, who responded with thumbs up or smiles or some positive emojii) describing Karen Read? Just when you think things couldn't go worse for the Commonwealth, they do. Journalists inside the courtroom describe jurors wincing at the obscenities. Towards the end of his testimony, Proctor is asked by Alan Jackson (Defense Attorney) about a text he sent to his sister saying that he wished Karen Read would just kill herself. Proctor said it was just a figure of speech. Jackson ended his cross examination by saying "Shame on you, sir" which was stricken from the record because the judge said that lawyers can ask questions, but not offer opinions (true).
The local NBC station did a compilation of clips where Proctor excuses his behavior as "regrettable", "letting off steam", etc.
That this guy is STILL the lead investigator on this case blows my mind.

We were talking about this at work. How can he pretend he’s operating with “integrity?” This case is a mess. With what I’ve heard, I can’t see how any juror wouldn’t have some reasonable doubt

We were talking about this at work. How can he pretend he’s operating with “integrity?” This case is a mess. With what I’ve heard, I can’t see how any juror wouldn’t have some reasonable doubt Interviewed leaving court today, Jackson was asked about that and replied that that's why he asked Proctor if he knew what the word integrity meant. He also said that not firing Proctor showed that the state police had no integrity either.
