I woke up thinking it was Friday so imagine my disappointment! I woke up thinking it was Friday, and guess what? It is! Even though this week was a short one due to the public holiday on Monday, I am still really looking forward to the weekend. DSO went out for dinner, so I just had rechauffe pizza.

leannec That’s great news! Don’t let her talk you into packing for her. cadoodlebug Your pictures are lovely but the one of you and your husband is perfection. You two are so dang cute! I am going through each room of my house declutterring and reorganizing. I haven’t lived in my house except for weekends for a year and a half. It’s very cathartic to finally be home and settle my butt back into my “normal” life. When I’m done I will start knocking things off my bucket list. Dinner tonight is leftover roast beef and vegetables with mashed potatoes. And a glass of wine. And a book. And good music. Can’t wait. That sounds like a lovely plan for dinner/evening! Sending good energy, sueg!

One more update on all of the illnesses that came out of our group vacation. There are people who are still having GI issues 10 days in, so those folks have all been put on Cipro as it is believed to be bacterial, food-borne illness. No idea why mine cleared quickly, but since my immune system routinely tries to kill me, maybe it worked out this time. 😂Dh and I are deciding on dinner. We are between Mexican, Chinese, and sliders I had to laugh when I read this. I get what you mean. It's sad, but true, 'eh? I like this think that occasionally our bodies give us a break.
taylortroop, Walker is so cute. He's just laying there w/a big doggie sigh. I wonder what he dreams about?
Judy26, enjoy your quiet, relaxing evening. Welcome back to your home.

Slept terribly last night so dragging today. Not sure what's for dinner, feeling like punting and ordering in- haven't had pad thai in a while so maybe that - we'll see and maybe one of the kids will jump in. Are your kids home?

littlemama Ten people on our staff were plagued with food poisoning at our annual conference this year, my two supervisors included. Fortunately, they were all back to (mostly) normal by the time sessions started. We all rallied behind them, stepping up to fill in gaps in duties and ordering medicine, Gatorade, ginger ale, rice, etc.

I did go to urgent care care. It is a sinus infection. I did get an antibiotic and some Flonase. I pretty sat on the couch looking at cook books all afternoon. And I saw this pancake recipe and thought pancakes with strawberries sounds super good to me. And I've got to eat up the strawberries before they go bad. It was a kind of comfort food for a sick day.

Yes they're both home for the summer - will probably last year, so enjoying it!

Another busy day here, and I’m headed out of town in the AM (up north to visit DD and her boyfriend/partner, whatever she calls him). Hauling mom, sister, and niece along with me. Going away next weekend for a 4-day crop, too. In between I have my scan, doctor consult, and another second opinion. Hoping my life calms down a bit in a couple of weeks. Dinner tonight was rechauffe (desperately trying to empty the fridge) and breakfast tomorrow will be, too. Dinner tomorrow is up in the air, but might be burgers. Will try to check in over the weekend.
