My kitchen used to be all grapes and purples. I loved it!
I find if I do themes, I get hyper fixated on it and will buy anything and everything to go with it.
I have learned to tone that down and decorate for pretty much every holiday/season instead of themes. Gives me a change every few weeks or months.

I was going to say no themes, but then realized that I do have a themed workout room. It was a guest bedroom that I took the bed out of and added my weights, bench, etc. We had it decorated with our collection of things from the college football team we love. I left everything just as it was because I like it and it's also inspiring. Those football players work HARD and it helps motivate me to also work hard.

When we eventually update our bedroom, I'm going to buy and frame some vintage travel posters as wall decor. They are retro and fun and we plan on doing a lot of traveling.
