I haven't tried the Scrapbook branded ones, but I have the Avery Elle ones and the cheaper "CheckOut Store" version from Amazon.
I think the COS brand is comparable to AE. Although AE is slightly thicker. I rarely need to replace a pocket because of wear or tear.
If you want PM me your address and I can send you a sample of each to see.

I have a strange variety of storage pockets: Avery Elle, Simon Says Stamp, Gina K, Amazon, and Hero Arts. I think they are all different sizes. Actually, I also have some of the Altenew "no hassle" storage pouches, but I don't use them because I find them to be a big hassle, actually.
All the others I like fine. They are all at least slightly different sizes and I use them all for different things. The Amazon ones I have are a little thinner and less sturdy than all the others. I think the Avery Elle and Gina K might be a little sturdier than the SSS. The Hero Arts are very sturdy, stiffer plastic with magnet sheets for dies, so very special-purpose compared to the others.

The Amazon Check Out Store envelopes are perfect for lots of things. Thick enough for everything I use them for. I use them for paper storage as well as putting ephemera on 12 x 12 papers and slipping them in the envelopes or just putting the ephemera right onto the envelope.

After following moretimeplease 's link I'm wondering if you're looking for stamp storage or paper storage. My comparison is for stamps, dies or stencils storage. For my 8.5x11 paper storage I use Avery Job Ticket folders. and for 12x12 paper I use old old old Cropper Hopper pockets.

I wondered the same thing, as all the stuff I listed I (mostly) use for stamps, stencils, and dies. It also make me realize that I do have one or two of the SB.C pockets, because sometimes they're the free gift with purchase. They are very nice, similar to the Hero Arts offering in heft and sturdiness. And I was doing some crafting and realized that I'm not sure my smallest pockets are any of the brands I listed....

Referring to the paper storage. Looking for something sturdy.

Referring to the paper storage. Looking for something sturdy. For paper storage, go with the thickest you can find in envelope form. The Amazon ones are more pliable and great storage for items that aren't as thick. They will hold maybe 12-20 papers though.

I got some off of Amazon (no name brand). They are thinner than I’d want but they do work well. I can keep collections in them and so far they’ve kept up well. I needed to replace some old CM ones as they fell apart. For the price of the Amazon ones I’m Happy.
