Don't think I could function in something that small.

Looks like it has a nice yard. If the weather was nice, it had a covered patio I could make it work. Just need to be there to sleep and cook.
Similar to small trailers for camping. Most people use them for sleeping and are outside a lot.
Plus if you are at work all day...

I think it could certainly function as an office, no problem.
My only issues with an 8 ft. house is that I am not fond of bedrooms where you have to wedge the bed in between the walls, and crawl in and out of it all of the time.
Otherwise, as mentioned above, people live in vans, school buses, RVs, canal boats, etc, that are all even more narrow than this, so it's certainly doable.

I don't think it has a yard. That shaded area belongs to the neighbors.

I'm disappointed that there were no interior photos in the article--what better way for an interior design firm to showcase what they can do than to make a tiny office look amazing and function well?!

I'm fascinated by tiny homes. It is amazing the things you can do in a small space. I don't really want to live in something that small but a lot of people make it work.

I love tiny homes. I wish I could see the inside of this one.
I could live there, but only if I designed the inside to suit myself.

One of the things I learned while living in a small studio apartment is creative storage requires one necessarily have good knees, hands, joints, etc. Either that or someone else living there with you that can help distribute the load. My studio was about 30-50 feet smaller than that place but it wasn’t nearly as narrow.
Living or working somewhere that is only 8 feet wide sounds like an ergonomic nightmare to me.

That is a cute place - I would have loved to see indoor pics..300 square feet is very small and I guess it is weird as you would go straight from one room from another.

I think it is one narrow room with areas representing a room. ...a kitchen area and living area that converts to sleeping area. I hope the bathroom area has a door.

I have seen apartments in NY where you go through the kitchen to the bedroom to the bathroom to another bedroom. All in a straight narrow line.

That was a pretty common arrangement in some old homes. Shotgun homes, for sure, but even other old homes worked that way, which is why now you sometimes see realtors mention "walk-through" bedrooms in a listing. Because you literally walk through one bedroom to get to another, even in 2 story homes. And many small old homes work that way at least on the first floor....you enter the house via the living room, then enter the dining room, then finally the kitchen. But I've also seen smaller homes and apartments where the living space is one area, and the bedroom & bathroom come right off of it, with both bed & bathrooms having their own doors. (Sometimes you have to access the bathroom through the bedroom, though.)
