"At In-N-Out Burger, the safety of our Customers and the quality of our products are our most important priorities. Beginning June 12th, our hamburger buns will contain a small amount of sesame flour (less than 2% of ingredients). We source our hamburger buns from multiple bakeries that each use shared production areas."
Over 1.5 million Americans have an allergy to sesame. Dd and I are 2 that have severe anaphylaxis to sesame. No more In and Out for us.

What an odd decision to make. And while they mention shared production lines, if that was the only issue, then that would result in a warning of the possibility of the buns containing trace amounts of sesame, not it being an actual listed ingredient, right? So I feel like they're trying to blame the bakeries in a way. I imagine In-N-Out burger is a big enough company to be able to find bakeries to make them sesame-free buns if they really wanted them. Sorry, pantsonfire that this change means you & your daughter can no longer go there.

Due to a law change in 2023 (maybe 2022) sesame has to be added to ingredient list or listed as may contain due to factory because sesame became a top allergen due to how many Americans have it. So before things would say "free from top 8 allergens" and now we have top 9 allergens due to addition of sesame. So it will be listed. My only safe take out is now Chipotle, Miguel Jrs, and a local mom & pop Mexican restaurant. I had an issue at Rubio's due to the shell fish cross contamination.
