Still trying to keep the board moving. Come on, people, add a topic. I need enough content on here to finish my morning coffee. How do you make your titles? Do you use Thickers, stickers, stamp, die cut, etc.? What are your favorite brands and colors? Do you make straight forward titles or do you try to be clever/punny? Do you even use titles on every page? Me: I am a dimensional sticker fan. Everything is chipboard, foam, or puffy. Very occasionally I'll use a cardstock sticker. I will occasionally do a die cut title, too, but it is rare. My favorite right now for small alphabets are the Doodlebug puffy ones. I have them in every color and I have more in my ACOT cart at the moment. I use those things like crazy. I also like Pinkfresh puffy alphabets, both the larger ones and the tiny ones. I have a huge horde of American Crafts Thickers. Over 2 milk crates full. I'd feel bad about it but I pull them out all of the time. I love looking for a certain color or a certain kind of font and being able to shop my stash for it. That doesn't prevent me from buying new ones, though. I'm a particular fan of Vicki Boutin ones, because the fonts are so quirky. I use the heck out of my old Amy Tan ones, too, again, for the quirky fonts. I am a very unoriginal title person. It usually just do the place or the names of the people. I should be more clever, but I don't want to force it. I did have a photo of my nephew dressed like a duck, and used "Just ducky, I guess?" I was very proud of that title, but I haven't been able to do it consistently. I do a title on every page. Even if it is a two page layout, I put a title on both pages. So tell me about your title preferences. I feel like getting a second cup of coffee...

Usually, I cut titles with my Silhouette, because I never run out of letters and I like to use whatever color and size I want... I also like the look of my letters connecting with the weld feature. Except for tile letter stickers, I don't really buy letter stickers anymore and am trying to use up my stash so I can use the drawer for something else.
I almost always use a title, although if there's a sign in one of the photos with the place we were at, that might end up being my title.
I use basic titles that describe whatever is going on in the photos, song lyrics no one but me probably recognizes, ironic titles, quotes from movies, quotes from the person in the photo... I don't usually use puns, but I can't say I never have.

I've gotten so lazy with titles and I don't know why. I need to up my title game. When I did use titles they were kind of bland. Like, "Day at the Lake" or something. Maybe I will make a point on my next LO to do a more unique/witty title.

For my 12x12 layouts I've been using Thickers or even more often the Thickers words. They make for a more generic title, but then I don't have to line up the alphas. I've been doing a lot of daily pages in smaller sized notebooks this year. For those I use smaller stickers or I stamp, again often pre-made word stamps, because dimensional titles make my notebooks too fat.

How do you make your titles? Do you use Thickers, stickers, stamp, die cut, etc.? yes - all of those - I tend to reach for my alpha stickers first because I'm trying to use them but if I don't have the right letters/colour/size, then I'll stamp or diecut. I only have a few Thickers but if they work, I use them. I'll also use sticker phrases if appropriate.
What are your favorite brands and colors?
black and white are go-to colours because one or the other will work for almost any layout. Beyond that I don't really have a favourite
Do you make straight forward titles or do you try to be clever/punny? usually straight forward, sometimes punny
Do you even use titles on every page? definitely not

I try to still do titles, but if I can't easily think of a title phrase, I sometimes let it go now. I used to feel like a page wasn't complete without one, but I guess i'm getting lazier I still use stickers, and also cut letters or welded titles on my Cameo.

I either use premade title (die cuts, stickers, chipboard, etc...) or I make my own title with alphabets stickers, thickers or chipboard.
My title matches whatever it is that I am scrapbook. I try switch it up for frequent used themes. Example: Title may be >> Birthday! Party! sweet 16, celebrating "name here", etc... Title may be >> Dinner with friends, getting together, name of the restaurant, let's eat!, etc..

Most often I use letter stickers and have a lot of small Heidi Swapp and larger sets from a many different manufacturers. I definitely match to the layout but if I don’t have the right color, black or white usually works.
I got this idea from another pea, she suggested using a 3x4 card as a title. So although my supply is dwindling, I look through those first to see if one will fit in theme and color, and will use that instead of letter stickers.
And I love punny titles! If I can come up with one, I’ll definitely use it. Otherwise, I default to “ABC Hiking Trail” or whatever.
And I have a Cricut but I don’t know how to use it for titles. I’ve cut vinyl but have not been successful with cardstock, it never cuts through or the title is half off the page. Sigh…it’s on my list to figure out but I don’t want to spend my craft time on technical stuff.

I create a custom title on each layout that reflects/supports its story & typically use one or a combination of types, fonts, &/or sizes of alphanumeric dies, stamps, &/or stickers.

My favorite look for titles is my alphabet dies or using my Cricut.
I stopped buying letter stickers but have plenty in my stash.
I have a lot of ephemera titles, I never learn because I keep buying them even though I have a hard time using them because I am picky about stuff matching my photos.
It's funny because there are layouts I have spent a lot of time on but the layout I get the most compliments on was made with a My Minds Eye set of a page topper title, matching embellishments, and diecut kid (the kid looked just like my daughter and everything just matched perfectly with my photos). So I am not above using super old product if it goes with my photos.

How do you make your titles? Do you use Thickers, stickers, stamp, die cut, etc.? I do about 75% of my titles with my Cameo. The other 25% are Cricut, Thickers, or stickers or a title printed on a tag or cardstock piece attached to the page. I have quite a few premade titles which I find hard to use but use occasionally. I do have a ton of Thickers (and other brands of thick Alphas), but I find them hard to use -- it's hard to find a combination of color, style, and size that works for a page.
What are your favorite brands and colors? The beauty of the Cameo cut titles is they can be any color or style, even patterned paper. I love to mix fonts.
Do you make straight forward titles or do you try to be clever/punny? I try to come up with clever, interesting/different titles. I don't know if they actually are or not.
Do you even use titles on every page? Yes, that's one of my personal scrapbooking rules -- every page must have a title -- no matter how boring or unoriginal.

I just flipped through my gallery and it seems I am really leaning into premade titles in the form of thickers, journal cards and phrase thickers & die cuts.
I do like my titles to be a little "cute" like I used a "You color my world" die cut on a page about my love for drinks with blue curacao. Ha! But mostly the titles have been boring to non-existent lately.

Do you use titles on every page? I don’t use them on every page. I find I mainly use titles when: - I’m taking a class with the title in the design - I’m trying to use up product with sentiments on them - Using something in my stash requires I be creative with my page theme
How do you make your titles? I’ll use my Cricut if I don’t have a pre-made title available. It’s easy to make a matching element and I don’t have to worry about lining letters up since they’re welded.
What are your favorite brands and colors? Whatever matches the page best
Do you make straight forward titles or do you try to be clever/punny? If I’m designing a title it’s usually because I’m trying to signal why I’ve placed themed elements on a page. This necessarily involves a pun of some sort.

I usually use a very simple title. I like mixing Thickers with a second line of little tile letters. I love Freckled Fawn letters.
I like to use my Quickutz 2" dies to cut out letters for titles, too. I often layer 2 or 3 thick for some dimension.
I need to dig out my title stamps I bought a long time ago. I haven't used them in ages.

I typically use Thickers for my titles. I also like to use Paper Wizard's laser cut titles. I like that they are dimensional & the detail on them is really great.
I have a Cameo but the hassle of pulling it out & getting my computer out usually makes me just reach for Thickers instead. I've considered the Cricut Joy just because it is smaller & my thought is maybe I would use it more but I haven't been swayed enough to pull the trigger.

My favorite right now for small alphabets are the Doodlebug puffy ones. I have them in every color and I have more in my ACOT cart at the moment. Oh my gosh, me too, me too. I don't have every colour yet - missing coral and tangerine and brown - but I don't want the brown ones I am getting low on some letters in my fave colours and plan to repurchase these before I run out. They are the perfect size and dimension! I too have about 2 milk-crates full of thickers (just alphas. that doesn't include the phrase/icon thickers). And yes, I use them all the time. Titles are *so* important to me. I love how they look and can tell much of the mood or story if you get a good one. My fave titles use a couple of fonts. I like dimension. I used some sticker-book alphas last week (the thin ones), and put them on white cardstock first to give them heft (yes, I fussy cut them all) then added foam dots behind to give the extra pop. If I die cut a title, I layer at least 3 layers to get the dimension. What I don't like is the pre-fab thicker words...well, I LOVE the look, but prefer to come up with my own wording. So if I do use a pre-fab word, I try to mix it with other words to make a more "clever" title. Like this: layout chasing sunshine by kirstendrew, on Flickr I adored the "sunshine" thicker, but had to figure out a phrase that fit the reason for scrapping this page!

I really intensely dislike having to come up with a funny / clever / unique title for my pages. It's almost the worst part of the process for me. Half the time I give up, and just don't bother adding a title.
When I do add a title, I love using a mix of different fonts and styles. I love using Photoshop thicker styles to make my own Thickers. I like little tile letters, and making my own stickers.

I title every layout, but sometimes they might be four pages, so I don't usually put a title on the second spread - just using the same paper/embellishments to keep it cohesive with the first spread. Pretty much always using Thickers, or smaller letter stickers if it's a long title. A lot of my pages just have short one or two word titles, often an adjective. I scrapped some pics recently from a Weird Al concert and on a one-page LO I dotted a bunch of synonyms for weird around the page - eccentric, strange, peculiar, etc. But the same weekend I also scrapped a 4-page LO with pictures I'd taken during several fall walks that I went on by myself, and I had enough Thickers in one style to title it "A World Where There Are Octobers" (from the longer Anne of Green Gables quote, "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." So in conclusion, I'm a land of contrasts.

Now that I am using smaller and smaller pocket albums for my everyday/yearly albums, I don't worry about title much anymore. (And right now, when my stickers are almost all packed away, I'm really not doing much with titles.) Standard scrapbook layouts=titles for sure--for me, anyway. Although I don't worry about them always being clever. I try to mix in a few clever ones here & there. But for pocket albums--if I have a word sticker that might fit--both physically fit and thematically fit, then I would use that. And I used to use the tiny alphas from October Afternoon. But now, I tend to just handwrite the date/month/event on a journalling card and call it a day.

Every layout gets a title that coordinates with the event.. I typically do a two page layout, but a major event may be more. Only the first page will get a title. Once in awhile I’ll try to do something clever, but most of the time it’s simpler, such as the place name. I have thousands of fonts and prefer to use my Cameo for titles the vast majority of the time, so I can coordinate the color, as well as weld the letters, and mat the letters of the welded title. I keep my Cameo set up and ready to go all the time. My computer and printer are in the craft room, set up next to my Cameo. It’s always ready to cut both title and anything else that I may want for my layout.
Once in awhile, I will stamp my title, if I remember to check my alphabet stamps. Or sometimes I may use stamps to dress up my die cut title and layout a bit.
For beach titles, I like to add Mudd Puddles to my die cut title.
If I want dimension, I may use foam tape between title layers, to make my own “Thickers” instead of buying them. I have Thickers, but the color rarely seems to be a great match for my photos and/or patterned paper, which is why I usually use my Cameo.
I have also wondered how well the Thickers hold over the years. I haven’t looked at my older layouts (that have Thickers) for quite awhile. Have any of you had issues with them eventually starting to come off the layout?

How do you make your titles? Do you use Thickers, stickers, stamp, die cut, etc.? Mainly Thickers, occasionally I will use my Cameo or manual diecutter, but if I do, I still have to make it dimensional.
What are your favorite brands and colors? American Crafts, Pinkfresh and the Doodlebug puffies. I prefer plain colours rather than patterned/multi. It’s annoying that so few thickers are being released in single colours. I’m running out of larger size yellow and orange particularly.
Do you make straight forward titles or do you try to be clever/punny? I try to be clever, and also use lots of song titles/lyrics. Most of the time the title comes to me easily for kid layouts. Travel and Christmas pages tend to end up with boring titles.
Do you even use titles on every page? Almost 100%.

I make small photobooks (year in review, holiday or travel albums) so most pages don't get a title at all. They may get a caption or journaling, maybe an embellishment with words on it, or word art that was part of the digital template that serves as a kind of title. The book barely even gets a title! Sections within the book might be given a title page by the month or destination. I've never been a fan of a clever or witty title, tbh.

Oh titles are so hard for me. I really struggle with making a title for a l/o unless it's just a descriptive word or two. I generally use alpha stickers for titles but will occasionally cut out one on my BigShot. Sometimes I'm just lazy.

When: every two page LO gets a title.
What: I love a fun title, and if I think of one, that makes the whole scrapping process fun. But most of my LO's have more mundane headings related to the Who What Where categories.
How: I use alot of letter stickers--both flat ones and Thickers. Often use diecut words and/or phrases as all or part of the title. Sometimes I write one or more of the title words with Nuvo drops. Ocassionally use photos as titles if I have a pic of a sign or a logo that fits.
Where: a title might go anywhere on the page, but unless it is huge and the focal point of the LO, it is usually touching at least one other element on the page--usually a photo or the journaling.

I pretty much use Thickers or puffy letter stickers. Every so often I use flat letter stickers or pocket cards.
What are your favorite brands and colors?
Tickers, Pinkfresh Studio. No favorite colors. I try and match to the colors in the layout/pocket page. I like to mix and match letters too. And colors.
Do you make straight forward titles or do you try to be clever/punny?
Depends on how I am feeling and the way the layout has gone. Sometimes it needs a basic title other times it needs a punny one.
Do you even use titles on every page?
Yes, in some capacity. Sometimes it is a card with words that I use as my title.
