Tim Holtz released some new sprays in the Distress colors (not all just 12 I think) yesterday...he says Ranger made retailers sit on this for a bit so he could do the video first. www.youtube.com/live/yy5a8V15AdE?si=UIRiOLqr85bXh3WAI really like how they look, and how he shows they don't rub off. What does everyone think? If you like a bit of mixed media, do you think you'll pick these up?

It's a pass for me. So many companies now have a shimmer type spray. I own some of them, including the TH Mica Sprays. But I always reach for my Perfect Pearls mixed with water in a sprayer. I can smoosh an ink pad on my mat, spritz Perfect Pearl water and flick on droplets or paint with it. Plus, I'm running out of storage room for all the Distress inks, paints, wc pencils, sprays, stains, etc.
However, I reserve the right to change my mind if I see a cool project with them. LOL!

are shimmer sprays back? i finally got rid of all my Tattered Angeles, Prima, etc sprays. i got rid of them mostly because they rubbed off. the fact that the TH ones don't rub off may make me consider trying them.

I have close to 100 sprays. Hard pass for me, although - they do look pretty!

I was scrapping at a store when he did his live Saturday. He sold me when he showed they don’t rub off. I bough the set plus his two new scissors. I’ll pick them all up when I go to the next crop there in July. I’m excited to try them out!

My problem with shimmer sprays is that the nozzles clog. I love the look, but will curb my impulse to collect the set, until I hear if these are more clog free.

He discussed this in his video and was pretty open that they will clog at some point because of the shimmer “solids” in it, which is why they also have replacement nozzles, for purchase of course.

I watched the video and they do seem fun. I liked the way the spritz could be spritzy or more of a solid coverage, and matching the Distress colors was smart. They are distinct from the mica sprays because the liquid is clear so they don’t really change the underlying color. I’m not really a spray person. He did say the price point is relatively low because they’re an extra top layer type of thing. I haven’t seen anything yet that would convince me I need them.

Eh, no big deal for me. I watched a few minutes of the video and decided that it was just a lot of hype about something that really isn't new. Yes, it's a little different, but not a big deal. The way people were carrying on in the comments, you'd think he'd found a way to make gold from water.

Pretty colors but to be honest I'd be happier if Heidi Swapp brought back her gold color shine 😉

If I stumbled upon them in person, I would probably buy. But otherwise, I will most likely forget about them. I have some sprays from the last go round of them, so really I should be good.

I really wanted to be excited about these, but I'm not feeling like I need them. I have several bottles of distress spray already and a clear shimmer spray I could just spray over the top to make any of my colors shimmery.
