If you don't print all your photos at home, what do you use?
I was a loyal Costco user, and get a "50%" discount for using Shutterfly when they closed, but often have to wait for a free shipping code (any other discount negates my Costco discount) and their shipping is not cheap.
I tried Amazon when I was in a pinch, but I thought the paper was sort of thin, and I found it annoying that they took my photos and put them on some slideshow thingie so now they show up on my TV when it's in pause mode, and I don't want to remember how to get to the place where I can remove them every time I order photos.
So what do you use? Is the shipping reasonable? Do you like the quality? Are there multiple size options? Can you crop things how you want or does it automatically crop everything?
Thanks!

I use Amazon most of the time - since there's now a minimum for free shipping, I only use them if I have sufficient to print at one time.
For just a couple of photos, I have them printed at CVS. The Walgreens here is very inconsistent colour-wise

I've used Persnickety Prints the last couple of orders. A couple of years ago when Snapfish changed to super thin paper and sent me an order with torn edges on some of the photos, I split my next order and sent some to Persnickety, some to Nations, and some to Mpix, then compared quality and cost, and decided on Persnickety. Persnickety does auto crop if you select 4 x 6 prints for iPhone photos (which are 4 x 5.3) but you can review and adjust the crop.

I also use Persnickity. Yes to multiple sizes and good quality, in the US shipping is reasonable. Today they are having a huge sale as a matter of fact.

Another PersnicketyPrints person here. I usually buy print credits to keep the cost down. They have a sale this week for their anniversary. Even though they updated their website I still struggle with the ordering process but it works in the end. I find it easier to upload photos from my phone and then order on the computer.
FYI Amazon uses Snapfish to print. I've never liked Snapfish due to quality and views to never order from them again, it's probably been close to 15 yrs since I've ordered and the current reviews confirm that my decision was sound.

I do not print photos at home & exclusively use a local camera shop that processes on site (note my orders are simple: one size - 4x6, usually straight out of the camera/no editing).

For most everyday photos, I just use Shutterfly. I make collages on 4x6 bases to get smaller sizes. So for now, when I use a ton of 3x4 pics in my 6x8 album, I get 2 pics per print without paying any extra "wallet" charge.
For anything I want to frame, or any really special photo I want to scrap, then I tend to use MPix.

As a digital scrapper, I don't need to print out photos. I think the last time I got photos printed was for my DD's 21st birthday photo board. She'll be 27yo in a few months. From memory, I got them printed at Officeworks.
When I used to paper scrap, I would get them printed wherever had the best deal that week. A couple of times I used Snapfish for big orders.

I do print at home for the majority of my photos but when I print for projects I also send some to Persnickety prints.

I use my Epson PM400 for most of my photos, but if I am need a bunch I'll send them to our local Walgreens. The quality is not bad.

Another Persnickety user but only for enlargements. I haven’t been able to find anything remotely comparable as far as quality.

I also use Persnickety and am very happy with the quality. In fact, I am about to place a large order because of the current sale.

I just tried Sam's photo services. (They had a deal this spring for an annual membership for $14.00)
I ordered 75 or so 4x6 prints. They only do matte paper and each print is $0.10 ea. and free shipping. (The shipping wasn't the fastest. It took maybe 5-7 days.)
I'll admit when I placed my order I knew I was taking a gamble and I fully expected to have to call up and complain when it arrived. But, NO! I am 100% shocked and pleased with my order! The color on the photos looks goods. The white borders are actually there and they are pretty much even, a few a thinner in spots, but not many! I am really floored. The borders are always they trying than gets screwed up and cut off, no matter how much I've sized and checked and rechecked my photos.
I love that I don't have to wait for a sale, or have a certain # of photos I need to order to get a better price. The shipping is free - even if it is slow. I will absolutely be ordering again!

I create a 4x6 collage with a photo editing program, and then I upload it to Shutterfly. Sorry, I should have been more clear.

You can do this in the Project Life App with their small prints option. Then upload for printing anywhere. App is free and some basic collages, other configurations available for in app purchase.
