Willie Mays died today. it is sad he did not live to see the Giants play thursday at Birmingham stadium..where he played in 1948. In recent years, we would see him often at the Giants games. He will be missed by many. a big inspiration out here.

I was also watching a game when it was announced last night. I’m looking forward to watching the Rickwood Field game tomorrow. I would assume there will be a nice tribute to Willie Mays either before or during tomorrows game.

We were sad when they announced it yesterday. One of the years the Giant's won the World Series, our Christmas card photo was taken in front of his statue at AT&T Park. I'll miss seeing him at various games when they pay tribute to all our older legends.
