Oh my, how scary. Thank you for coming to the peas to share. We peas are ever so good at lifting each other in ours thoughts and writing kind words of support.
I am currently away from home, but will try to send a card from where I am. If not I will GRT one out when I get home. In the meantime I am tucking her up safely in my thoughts while she makes a full recovery.

Awww poor thing. To go from all those healthy activities to being critically ill in the hospital. I'll be happy to send a card!

Sending all the good thoughts I can muster for your sweet granddaughter. I am so sorry for all that she has to go through and at such a young age. Not that ever having to is good, but to be a teen and having to go through such trauma breaks my heart. I would love to send a card.

Sending best wishes and will send a card next week. The Peas were kind enough to send cards to my friend’s very poorly son a couple of years ago, and I know how thrilled and grateful they were.

Absolutely! Cheerleading with big pompoms for Madison, and a quick strong recovery. Poor child, poor Mum, poor Grandma! ButI am *so* glad they found a transplant for her quickly. Big {{hugs}} to you both.

I am so happy to send a card to your sweet granddaughter! I will send it Monday. Please keep us informed. Believe it or not, I actually know about Wilson's Disease. MANY years ago, I attended nursing school in Rochester, Minnesota and worked for Mayo for a couple years after graduation. I worked in a transplant ICU and encountered patients with Wilson's Disease.
My sister is a kidney transplant recipient. A former co-workers child had a liver transplant when she was 2 years old. She is 40 now. I think your granddaughter will do well. But oh the stress right now!

I will definitely send a card. Two of my three children have Wilson’s disease. My son was diagnosed at 15 and my daughter was nine. They are 30 and 24 respectively. 15 and 16 is about the time that symptoms really hit as the liver just cannot tolerate any more copper. My son has severe cirrhosis but has been doing well with medication and diet so no transplant has been needed. I’m sorry your granddaughter is going through this. It is a scary time but it will get easier. Sending prayers her way tonight.
I would type more but I am on my phone not my computer.

How shocking to have such a rapid health crisis. And how very amazing that she got a liver so fast.
I hope she continues to do well and has a recovery that is smooth and uneventful.

Any chance someone could help her make an Amazon wish list or I will speak with my daughter about this but this was NOT intent of sharing this with the Peas. We were just hoping for cards to keep her spirits and hopes up, to keep her motivated in the next few months. Thank you all for your thoughtfulness nd I will let you know.

I am thrilled to hear how well she is doing physically. I hope her spirits improve as she recovers. She sounds amazing, so I'm guessing she will be quick. I sent her card out yesterday, and I'm in a neighboring state so hopefully it will get there soon. I hope every inch of her room is covered in well wishes.
