I visit 2 message boards daily - this one and a WW one.
In the past week or so, there was a thread about sleep aids recommendations. I can't find it on either message board. The Search function didn't help.
Was it here, and can you help me find it?
TIA

I don’t recall one here. But, prescription trazadone has been a lifesaver for me.

I've tried Trazodone, and it didn't work for me. Benadryl and prescription Hydroxyzine sometimes work, but I'm concerned about the possibility of increasing dementia risks. I found the thread on the other message board, but I'm open to suggestions here.

My doc recommended a combo of 10mg melatonin and magnesium glycinate (has to be the glycinate form). This has actually been working for me better than trazodone ever did.
DH likes Delta 8 THC gummies for sleep.

I’ve been taking Unisom (the gel capsules). It takes about 30 minutes to kick in and I don’t wake up groggy. I’m also going to try magnesium because most of my nearing 50 friends swear by it.

I have severe chronic insomnia ... I basically do not sleep ... so frustrating ... I take two prescriptions ... zopiclone and mirtazapine ... they work ... sort of!

I have found the magnesium glycinate very helpful. I feel like it helps me have a deep sleep without waking up during the night as I was prone to do.

The Target brand sleep aid works best for me. I take it right as I get into bed and wake up clear headed.
It's a struggle to find what works best for you, isn't it?

pilcas and Merge- what brand/form/amount of magnesium glycinate do you use? When do you take it?

When I was having trouble sleeping my Dr prescribed xanax. I took it until I could sleep again.
Typical over the counter sleep aids have the opposite effect on me. Sometimes they work the first night, but then I won't be able to fall asleep the next night.
