Anything to do with miniatures. Like when people make teeny-tiny things to go in teeny-tiny dollhouses or create teeny-tiny worlds with teeny-tiny chairs and teacups. Making Barbie outfits and accessories. I'd lose my mind.

I scuba dive but have zero desire to go into any caves. There's nothing to see there that I can't see outside of a cave! I'm not going into something where UP isn't an option.
I have no desire to fish, golf, mountain bike, extreme (weather or distance) hiking, dancing, or anything that requires many hours of practice and commitment.

I do not want to go horseback riding. I used to go horse riding with friends decades ago. We had so much fun! The last time I went horse riding, I realised that my lack of pelvic floor strength was not compatible with horse riding. Put it this way..... it has the same effect as jumping on a trampoline. I will say no more. Girl. Period underwear. It’s not just for blood. 😄

Anything that involves heights or going downhill fast is not for me. I also won't go in water where I can't see my feet (dark water).
I don't enjoy coloring, so things like adult coloring books or coloring stamped images is not for me.
I love fabric but quilting doesn't appeal to me at all. Same with jewelry making - I have no desire to make anything with those types of supplies.

For me it would be anything outside! I don't do hobbies that require me to be outside for extended amounts of time. Actually, the only thing that I like to do outside is sitting on the beach or driving my motorcycle.

S/o of gar 's thread, what hobby does not appeal at all? Personally, caving and especially caving that needs scuba equipment. I've seen a few documentaries about various tragic caving accidents over the years and I'm so horrified how quickly things go pear shaped. I'm not sure what it's called but cycling at speed down a mountain or through a narrow path in a forest where you are missing trees and rocks, no thank you. In the summer, several of our ski mountains turn into biking mountains. Put your bike on the gondola and ride to the top. Bike down a black diamond. We will hike down the mountain, but I agree with not hurtling down the path. My husband does mountain cycling a lot. I think he's more cautious than the bikers I see in ski resorts. I'd love to scuba dive and meet some sharks, but going into dark spaces like caves is a no.

After reading all these responses, I realize I have a crapload of things I don't want to do. I would have tried most of them when I was younger. Now, not so much. I don't even ride horses anymore, after a lifetime of riding, because I got thrown and had a concussion. I guess the lesson is to do it when you're young.

I thought it was a joke. This is an actual thing? I've now heard everything, I can retire from the internet. It is 😊 People take ironing boards and ‘iron’ while jumping out of planes, at the top of a mountain etc. 😊 that made me lol

Making Barbie outfits and accessories. I'd lose my mind. It can be challenging. You also have to be sure not to sneeze at the wrong time. I actually lost this chair after I took this photo - still haven’t found it 😊. I would also say scuba diving. It’s cool to watch but I’d never want to do it myself.

Making Barbie outfits and accessories. I'd lose my mind. Oh it's so relaxing! I have always, ever since I can remember, LOVED tiny things. I love miniatures and have several dollhouses. I make them myself sometimes but mostly I buy them, there are so many fun little things on Temu!

I don't like any sports, especially not the extreme kinds. I can go for a swim or a hike, but that's about it. I could NOT have an expensive hobby like motorsports or horses. But I did come on this board through scrapbooking, and that has been more expensive than what was originally planned for About the extreme ironing, I have not heard of this either. But it does not surprise me at all if this is a thing. Some people find immense pleasure in mundane activities that helps you 'disconnect'.

I love that bench. It was the guy's first attempt to do a bench (he does the bears), so we got it for $400 less than what he sells them for now. We get a lot of turkeys in out backyard and they love the bench as well.

The hobby I'd avoid is quilting. I have a small/medium-size fabric stash as it is (I sew clothes). I'd be in over my head if I started collecting quilting fabric as well.

I thought it was a joke. This is an actual thing? I've now heard everything, I can retire from the internet. It is 😊 People take ironing boards and ‘iron’ while jumping out of planes, at the top of a mountain etc. 😊 I just assumed that "extreme ironing" was ironing every single piece of clothing (including underwear) before wearing it. It boggles my mind the things people will do. I could never, would never bungie jump, and I can't imagine doing it as a hobby. I've seen YouTube videos of people falling through the air with a long rope tied to them, bouncing up and down, and swinging this way and that. Not for me!
