Are there certain items that you prefer to shop for in-person, or do you tend to buy everything on-line?
There are things that I do prefer to shop for in-person. Clothing - I like to see/feel the material. I like to try it on before buying because sizing and fit is not uniform. Purses - Same as clothing, I like to feel the material it is made from. I also like to see how it looks when I carry it. Shoes - In-person is a must for me. I have small feet, and not all shoes fit the same. Although, it is not easy to find my size (5) in-person anymore. Produce - In-person. Meats - In-person.
I am sure there are a few other things, but that's my list for now.
How about you?

Threads and battings are easy because I have sample charts of actual threads/batting to choose from. I do order shoes online but unless I am ordering a tried & true brand or style it is really hit or miss.

Sheets for sure. Clothing mostly online. I wear a lot of lands end stuff and pants from Christopher and Banks so I pretty much know what their quality and sizes are like and the return policy is easy. Produce in person as well. Dishes or something else I wouldn't buy online I want to feel their quality and thickness and see the true color. Shoes I'm fine with buying online but like you I have small narrow feet so I know what brands I can wear in which brands I can't wear so there are no surprises there I would never buy a new brand online.
Pretty much everything else I'm fine with buying online. I don't know that would necessarily buy an expensive item that was a new brand to me online though unless it was from Costco.

I buy clothes, shoes and anything else I wear in person. I need to feel fabrics. I may buy online if I have seen it in person. Books, kitchen or small items for the home I can buy online. Skincare I buy online.

In person for all of the above. I really don’t like online ordering except for things I can’t get at a regular store and cardmaking supplies because it’s the only way to get stamps, dies, etc.
I have ordered clothes and shoes online but only because the store didn’t have my size.

Now that I have moved to a much smaller population area, I do much more of my shopping online.
Locally: meat, produce, some cosmetics (have an Ulta) everyday essentials at Costco.
Online: Supplements to get the brand I know works. hair products (curly hair and now high humidity--need specialized products to keep the curl shape and the frizz down), shoes (brands I know well--I have a wide foot and NO ONE carries wide shoes anymore, Lands End, Duluth, and Stitch Fix for clothing. Amazon gets more than it's fair share of things we were able to buy in our former city of just over 100K. Still learning what I can find locally and what I need to order as the area has about 25K between three towns.

Most shoes must be bought in person. I may buy a second pair of something like tennis shoes that I already have.
I also buy fabric in person. You just can not tell the true color online.
I don't really buy any scrapbooking stuff anymore but when I did it was mostly online. Almost all my watercolor supplies have been bought online.
Clothes are probably 50/50 but I buy most clothes from Talbots, Land's End, LL Bean and occasionally Chicos so I know what sizes work for me and I can return the Talbots and Chicos stuff locally if need be. I do like a good consignment store and I always do that in person.
I've bought one handbag online but I was familiar with the brand, otherwise, in person.

Clothing - Almost 100% online Purses - I haven't carried a purse in years. I have a wallet phone carried and it goes in my pocket. Shoes - Online. I haven't been in a shoe store in years. Produce - In-person. Yep - I agree. Meats - I also buy this in person, unless I am getting something like hot dogs. Milk is one I will add. I want the freshest, so I don't put that on my online orders.
I have discovered that ordering heavy things online (for pickup) like softener salt, potting soil, lawn supplies, etc - is SO great! I just drop my tailgate and they load it in. No more struggling with those heavy loads. I don't buy much bottled water, but I put a couple big cases in the shop fridge every once in a while, and I like doing those online too, for pickup.

I buy most things in store unless they aren't available in a brick and mortar.

I've just realised I've probably not bought anything from a 'real' shop for at least a year, other than gift type shops when travelling. I normally buy everything online. DH buys some things from the pharmacy and he will buy meat products from local butchers but if he left it to me, I'd get them online too.

I will only buy clothes or shoes for myself online if I have previously bought the exact same item in person so I know it will fit. I haven’t bought a purse in years, I’ve made the last 3-4 of them myself. I buy all my groceries in person too. I buy some craft supplies, the occasional book or cookbook, or baking supplies online because no one here sells what I’m looking for.

Produce - In-person. Meats - In-person. I think these are probably the only two.
