I think most of these people have rational reasons for being disliked.
Mine is Claire Danes. I've never been so happy that Beth dies as when she portrayed her in 1994's "Little Women." It's a pity, because that is an otherwise perfect movie.
Timothee Chalanet is another one.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen Jerry Seinfeld on anybody’s list. I know he’s made some people angry with his recent comments and he has a reputation of being rude. He absolutely makes my skin crawl, and I’ve always felt that way about him. I can’t stand when I see Seinfeld reruns or commercials for those reruns. I think my feelings about him are completely rational though.

I can think of a few that I don’t like for some reason or other that I’ve justified to myself. My completely irrational choice… gah I CANNOT STAND Jennifer Aniston. I seriously can’t take her. In anything. For absolutely no reason.

Reba McIntyre. It's not country music I dislike, it's her. I listen to most genres of music, including country. I have no rationale as to why I dislike her, but I just do. I almost didn't watch The Voice this season as she is now a judge, but I just kept knitting through it (ha ha--I knit through most shows). Oh, and Jennifer Hudson--I cannot listen to her talk. Some of the previously mentioned celebs I also do not care for. YES! I despise Reba! So happy to finally gotten that off of my chest. The sound of her voice makes me think about maggots and cornbread. |

There are others I just don't like, but I have rational reasons behind my dislike of them. And that includes a lot of the "famous for being famous" people, like the Kardashians & others of that ilk.

I've always hated Lance Armstrong, even before everyone knew he was a liar.
And someone mentioned Matt Lauer--always hated him too and felt totally vindicated when he was outed as a slime. He was so rude to Giada one day. That was it, gloves off, no one comes for Giada! Although my mom hates her, IRRATIONALLY, because she says her head is too big for her body. 🤣
I also hate Mike Rowe, I think he is a lecherous drunk who hasn't been outed but probably should be. I'd be happy to be totally wrong on that one, but that's the vibe he gives me.

I have a friend who hates this person and hates that person, and she comes across as so very negative. So I always make a point of not using the word "hate" in reference to a person when I'm with her. So having said that... the celebrity who comes to mind who I irrationally dislike(d) is Philip Seymour Hoffman. My dislike comes from seeing him in the movie 'Before the Devil Knows You're Dead'. It was a really good movie, and my dislike is due to something embarrassingly shallow - he was in a sex scene in the movie, and he looked very unattractive, like a lump of lard huffing and puffing over the gorgeous Marisa Tomei, and it was pretty gross. I say all this as someone who is overweight herself, so I have no business being put off by him in that regard, but here we are. And from that day forward, every time I saw him in anything, all I could picture was that awful sex scene.  ETA: I just googled and found this review... "In what has to be one of the most memorable (if not necessarily sexy) scenes of the year, “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead” begins with a nude Philip Seymour Hoffman, his ample belly shaking like Jell-O, making love to his wife, the equally nude Marisa Tomei."  |

Jimmy Smits. I think I have shared this with the peas before in a similar discussion. He has never been in anything I dislike, he has never done or said anything that makes me not like him. He actually seems like a decent guy (although I don't know much about him) But every time he is in something I just think BLECH! Can't stand watching him, and I've watched him since LA Law. Ruined an entire season of Dexter for me  |

I will join you on the Mike Rowe bench. And I used to like him, back in the Dirty Jobs days. But he got all smug, and mean spirited, and started adding to the political polarization of the country, suggesting to people that the college grads were looking down their noses on the good honest hard working salt of earth types. Like Mike isn’t a college educated, well paid celebrity? He’s just one more person who’s figured out he can make a great career telling the people on the right what they want to hear. While their life is nothing like that. Ugh. |

Anna Kendrick, she's a terrible actor and also apparently a bit of a dick.
Nicolas Cage, I know people rave about Moonstruck but he's honestly awful in it. The only thing he didn't suck in was The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent because it proved he could only play himself.

I don't want to read the posts yet before answering. Irrationally who I can't stand is Conan O'Brien Quentin Tarantino ETA: Philip Seymour Hoffman (thanks for the reminder) ICK No reasons. I think it is Conan's looks. I feel like is a predator. Quentin, can't stand his movies, they way he acts and looks. Now I believe other celebrities that I can't stand but I don't feel like it is irrational, there are reasons.. Will Smith, because of the slap Beyonce, cause she seems to act like a diva Kim (and all the rest) Kardashians.. enough said. Now I'm off to read... I'll slap anyone that says Taylor Swift.. cause I KNOW she will be on someone's list.   |
