I do.
Several.
And there is still a part of me that wants to fulfill my childhood dream of having a 5 gallon water jug to fill with an absurd amount of change.
Do you cash it in at certain intervals?
So far, it mostly just sits. I used to have a bank that had a free coin counter, but i moved and don't have a local bank branch anymore.
I don't use Coinstar because I don't want to lug that many coins out in public, plus they only give you the full amount if it's exchanged for a gift card to a store.
I'll admit I have used silver change in self check out before.

Yes. It doesn't get as much contribution as it used but we still pay cash for quite a few things particularly at small businesses. I count the coins and roll them up once or twice a year. Last time I had over $60.

I have had them in the past, but do not right now.
Primarily because I don't accumulate as much coin any more, and I do keep some on hand for yard sales.

I have a bowl I put change in. It's small but still takes me years to fill it since I rarely use cash. It's a nice little treat when I do take it in to exchange for "real" money though!

I have the big water jug! And boy is it heavy. It doesn’t get much added now that I don’t accumulate very much change.

Yes!
We play poker in my family and always have a bag of change to play with. I’ve been lucky in the last few years, and have had to empty some change out of my coin purse so it would close. I put the overflow in a box and when it starts to get full, I wrap them. Just last week I checked, and I wrapped $294 in change!

Yes I rarely cashed it in. Finally cashed it in a couple of months ago.
I have like 4 bottles of $10 in quarters. I use them foe the car wash.
I rarely get change now, but would like to use cash more...

I still do though it doesn't collect as much as it used to. Mine is a vintage Grapette bottle "piggy bank" that was given to me over 50 years ago as a child. It's currently full but it took 2-3 years to fill it this time.

We have a change plate. Lately we've been rolling up the coins and we just took about $100 to the bank. From when I was a kid, I have two huge beer bottle shaped coin banks. They are about 3' tall, and just filled with pennies. One day, we are going to have to break those things open and cash in all the pennies. Or, we'll just leave it for inheritance for the kids. Some of those pennies may be rare ones by now.

I had two but I’m down to one now. I always kept one in the laundry room because DS and DH were always leaving change in their pockets. I mainly use cash so once the jar is full I get DGS to help me count and roll. I started teaching him the different coins when he was four and now he’s loves sorting and filing the rolls. He also likes the little bonus he gets for doing it, unusually a roll of quarters or dimes depending on which I have the most of.

We used to. When my girls were little a fun "mom's broke but needs to entertain these kids" activity was taking the change to the machine at the grocery store to be counted and traded for paper bills, then go to the dollar store for some shopping.
We so rarely have cash or get change these days that there's no point.

We do - it’s on my dh’s dresser because he is the only one that uses cash and gets change. He puts it in there when he empties his pockets. I take it once a year to coinstar and choose Sephora for the coupon as I get the full amount and then treat myself.

No because we don't really pay for anything with cash.

This past January, while we escaped our neighborhood during a severe wind and ice storm, our house was broken into. The thieves didn't take very much, but they did steal all of the change from our change jar. It wasn't a great loss, but now I feel like I don't want to amass coins for thieves.

I do.
I saved every coin from 2020 to July 2023. Over $250 dollars. Paid for Baby's (aka rescue/outside/GSD) vet bill. (Well, over half of it).

I have a brass piggy bank I received as a gift in high school and we toss change in there. However, it’s rare these days that we have any change to add to it.

I keep a detergent bottle lid on the shelf in the laundry room.. because dh always leaves coins in his pocket.. and we have a big protein powder tub that we toss change in... We do still use cash.. I have better control over my spending.. i know its a mind thing... but it works for me...
When the protein jug is full... I take it to coin star and use it at HEB (our store) for groceries... the protein jug usually holds about $200 in coins... its like a free grocery shopping day!!
It takes about a year to fill it...

I inherited my husband’s when he passed away nits a commutative milk bottle from a local dairy. He used to fill it at least once a year. I have added about 2 dozen coins to it in the 4 1/2 years since he passed. I doubt I’ll ever fill it since I rarely pay for anything with cash.

Dear god, do NOT do the big jug of change. It takes forever to fill and 10 forevers to roll it all- and ours was only a big pretzel jug. It was about 40% full - it was over $600, but not worth the time and effort sitting on the floor to roll it.

My bank has a free coin counter as long as you deposit some into your accoount.
My hubby has a 2 gallon jug that he drops all his change into. I empty my purse and get the coins to drop in there. Once it is full, my dh has a coin sorter and we seperate the quarters/dimes back into the jug and put the nickels/pennies in a cheese puff container. When we fill those both those containers, then we drop the money in a vacation savings account.
We save a little over 1k a year like this.

I have one filled to the brim from the days when we used cash. lol. I really need to take it to the change machine at the grocery store. One reason I don't is that they're just SO loud. -- We rarely use cash anymore. I do keep some on hand just in case, but there's hardly ever a "case". The last time I used it was when I had ordered take-out and then realized right before it arrived that I hadn't added in a tip when I did the order. So I rushed to get some of my cash for that.

Id rather have a smaller container and roll it more often than let it get to that amount!

Also, the coin machine at my grocery store will either take a percent of the total, or give the entire amount in an Amazon gift card. Since I almost everything I need from Amazon this works for me.

We have a container for pennies and a container for everything else. I take the penny container to coin star and usually get $30 that I exchange for a Starbucks card. The container is an old Costco cashew container. The other container nets about $300 and usually fills up every 3 years. Now that DH has retired, the container growth will be very slow.

We have a smallish basket we throw change in. When its full we take it to coin star at the grocery store. We all go and bet on who will be closest. Whomever wins get to pick out a treat at the grocery store.
