I have never seen so much negativity and whining in my entire life - and I teach Kindergarten. They are far more mature than the most of you all here.
All you do is complain about every single scrapbooking company/release/line.
“Waa I live in Australia and I am upset that an American company, whose customers are 99.9% American are not catering to ME.”
“Waa I don’t like a scrapbook kit and I feel personally offended that it isn’t catered to me specifically.”
“Waa I forgot to skip a kit and now I need to hold up my end of a contact that I willingly entered into.”
Waa Waa Waa Waa
No one is making you buy any of these products. You complain about the plastics, you complain about the repetitive cards, you complain about the quality, you complain constantly about EVERYTHING.
No one came into your home and held a gun to your head and forced you to buy any of these products. No one forced you into this hobby.
You all claim to be “so creative” but have no idea how to use a product that isn’t 100% exactly what you would have made if you were designing the cards. Maybe ask yourself why you are not the person designing cards. No one has hired you to design because perhaps you are not as creative as you think if you can’t possibly make something out of these products.
Check. Your. Damn. Privilege.
You do not have to buy ANY of these products. Do you ever step back and see how whiny most of you sound? Do you not realize that people are literally starving & dying and you are upset that a kit has a card with a flag that isn’t from your specific country on it? I’m an atheist and I believe that Easter is absolute horse shit. I either A) do not buy Easter kits or B) flip the damn card over and use the back. Stop. Fucking. Complaining.
Post after post of complaints just prove that most of you are pathetic people who are so insanely privileged that you can’t even fathom that you are not the center of the universe. This is why people are stepping away from this “community.” I am seeing a mass exodus of creators and it’s not hard to see why. For the most part, you are negative narcissists who cannot be bothered to even try to make the most of a situation and instead focus solely on the negatives.
At least 14,500 children have been killed in Gaza but please, tell me about how devastating it is that your god damn scrapbooking card isn’t a color scheme you desire.
Most of you need to touch grass. ✌🏽

This reads like a very specific response to a thread. Did you mean to post in the general board?

no one is forcing you to read a message board either...
This was certainly an unusual method of introducing yourself to a board - 5 stars for originality, 1 star for common courtesy

It always makes me shake my head when people tell me I shouldn't be mad about the day to day things that make me mad and should only focus my outrage on the things they want me to. I AM outraged by what is happening in Gaza, as well as what's happening in Ukraine and also what's happening here in the US where women are losing their bodily autonomy at an alarming rate. Posting what the OP did on this board is not the appropriate place. Contact your legislators and the leader of your country about what they can do to change what is happening over there, posting here only makes you seem sanctimonious and shaming. You don't know what we're all doing to try and stop the atrocities in the world, but go off on a bunch of people trying to find a little joy in this tumultuous time.

The tone of op’s post also does nothing to further any of the messages they were seemingly trying to convey. If you’re attempting to call out perceived entitlement you do nothing to engender support by throwing a virtual temper tantrum. Ironically, op is displaying the same entitlement they’re purportedly perceiving through said tantrum. “Look at me! Look at me! I’m angry! I disagree!”
If someone is genuinely interested in starting discourse on the limits of manufacturing for a mass audience they don’t do it by throwing a virtual temper tantrum. Engaging in such behavior and then telling readers to “touch grass” is ironic. It also seems passive aggressive to post in the general board when the response seems to be thread specific.

To The OP: This is a forum about scrapbooking and cardmaking, and other crafting. We as crafters come here to discuss new and old product, companies that make those products, techniques, and ideas. A part of those discussions is having opinions on whether we like things, or don't like them, and why. Personally, I enjoy reading about that because it's interesting to see why and who doesn't like something, even if I do. And we are all different people. With different levels of talent and ability. And, different creative levels and different ideas. We might not all agree with each other, but that's ok. And, what you construe as whiny, that person just thinks is a statement they are making about their hobby. And that's ok. And if you don't like it, just scroll on. It's that simple. That being said-There's a lot of things I'd like to respond with. But, I won't. I am going to say this though-if you are so concerned with the things happening in this world, you probably should quit wasting time posting on this trivial website and go change the world! Calling all of us whiny and whatever else, isn't going to help the children in Gaza.

Sorry you got your feelings hurt OP, but I do appreciate that we can give our honest opinions here. Most places online you will get handslapped or deleted if you post something that may be considered negative. I do realize there are bigger concerns in the world and our scrapbooking issues may be considered first world problems, but scrapbooking is important to us too and we do care about the products we use.

Ohhh I think some (all) of atheist message was about my post regarding inked business practices on the “everything ae” thread 🥰 I’m just a girl, sitting here on the other side of the world, trying to share her opinion with other people who share my interest in the same hobby as I have as I don’t know anyone else who scrapbooks. I am fully aware that as an individual person I have little to no influence on world politics, nor do I have any real say in what happens in other countries… but I do have the right to share my point of view, and to listen to differing opinions to educate myself on other peoples point of views in a respectful way. And atheist I find it hilarious that you are saying wah wah get over it person who lives in another country and then asking me to be considerate of people from… another country. Just saying.

I do realize there are bigger concerns in the world and our scrapbooking issues may be considered first world problems, but scrapbooking is important to us too and we do care about the products we use. totally agree with this and other comments. I've found this space a mix of positive and constructive (and funny and sassy and serious and and and..) -- aka it's real life. realistic and honest, with different peple, experiences, and opinions. sometimes it feels like there are a lot of "yes men" out there in the papercraft community. I like how everyone keeps it real here. some stuff *is* ugly or impractical or flawed. and who knows, maybe the feedback makes it back to some companies. and even if not, it's enough to have a space in the community to just be honest and not pretend with others who get it. it's really no different than leaving an honest google restaurant review or amazon product review. we don't expect diners to "get creative" when their hamburger arrives cold or moldy. imagine buying a floral arrangement for someone sight unseen and the flowers arrived dead? reviews here are really no different. we're allowed to express our real opinions

Hahaha bravo!! This is awesome! I love it when a bit of drama comes to the GS. This was certainly an unusual method of introducing yourself to a board Oh this isn't a new Pea, no way. It's someone who created a new account just to tell us to Stop. Fucking. Complaining. and to Check. Your. Damn. Privilege and didn't want to do it under their real name. There are some clever Peas over on NSBR who know how to find out who an anonymous poster is, if they post from the same device / IP address that they do under their regular Pea name. If I gave more than two shits about this, I would ask one of them to look it up for me. I have to say Chinagirl828 , as the only two regular Aussie Peas here on GS, I think that one of us should feel attacked for the “Waa I live in Australia and I am upset that an American company, whose customers are 99.9% American are not catering to ME” comment! Oh, it could be lg as well. Now if she'd said something about people complaining because they don't like the traditional colour scheme of (almost every damn) Christmas kit, then I would know for sure that she was talking about me. I do like to complain about that.

I think it was lg she was going after, based on a comment in the AE thread. Although I reserve the right to be annoyed that American companies who sell supplies to an international market do such US centric designs as the SBTM kit that seems to have started all this kerfuffle. But if it was over red and green in Christmas collections then there's a good chance my name is also on the naughty list.
