Good morning.
I am tired, but have a bit more energy. Today I will be resting all day. It was a fun week, but I didn't ration my energy as I should have and now I have to lay low. I'll be fine once I am caught up on my rest.
Dh has more rechauffe for dinner. What's on your menu?
What are you up to today?
May today bring happiness to all!

I was in bed early last night and slept through until my normal wake up time. After 3 days of early starts, it was good to relax over breakfast and my morning coffee. I haven’t done much today - a grocery run, disposing of the recycling on the way there. My older DS messaged me this morning to ask if the brain doctor had fixed me yet. I hadn’t spoken to them yesterday as I wanted to speak to DH first, and by the time I’d done that, it was night time in Australia. Apart from that, I’ve been doing a bit of knitting.
Dinner tonight is Okonomyaki. I haven’t eaten a lot of vegetables this week, so I chose a meal with loads of them for today.

Happy Thursday!
It's a slow day at work so I'm getting ready for a busy next week. I am taking my mom to Costco for her hearing aids tonight and I plan on stocking up on some meats to seal a meal this weekend for the freezer.
Not sure what dinner will be tonight, maybe something from Costco.
Hope you all have a great day!

It's a gloomy day here today ... supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow but it hasn't started yet ... I don't plan to leave the house ... need to do a bit of laundry but that's about it! I'm going to sign up for another round of Speed Dating today! It will take place in August ... so fun! My mum is coming over after bingo and we will have dinner ... she can choose what she wants ...

Today I will be resting all day. It was a fun week, but I didn't ration my energy as I should have and now I have to lay low. I'll be fine once I am caught up on my rest. I hope the rest is restorative. I asked Jeremy to stop at the store today and pick a few things up. He doesn't have to do a big shop, but I needed just a couple of things. I am kind of craving an open faced sandwich. My sandwich is toasted sourdough with a generous smear of tofu "ricotta", some herby lentils and stacks of tomatoes and cucumbers. It's my new favorite sandwich. I ended up making a lentil stromboli last night so I cooked a bunch of lentils. My day is actually pretty slow. I'm off to a meeting right now but then I have a chill afternoon.

Happy Thursday! It's turned into a crazy week here. DH began having reactions to one of his chemo drugs over the weekend. The symptoms had not gotten better so yesterday I took him to the ER in the medical center. We left at 8 am and I did not get home until 8 pm. After a lot of tests and consulting with all his doctors (oncologist, cardiologist and Internist) they decided to admit him, but a room didn't open until 5 pm. It's looking a lot like he is reacting to either the Keytruda or the Linvima. We are hopeful he will be home tomorrow. Any prayers or good thoughts for him and his medical team would be most appreciated.
I am heading back to the medical center in a few minutes and probably won't be back until 7 or 8 pm. Fortunately it's housekeeper day and she can take care of the dog this afternoon. Absolutely no clue what or when dinner will be. They have some good options for food down there so I do have some options.

I’m currently babysitting grandboy #3 since he can’t go back to daycare until tomorrow. We just did a giant floor puzzle and now he’s playing quietly in the toy room. DS will be home in an hour and my duty will be complete.
Today is the last day of school for the oldest two and they were very excited this morning.
I need to disclose my addiction with books. I seriously have at least 500 books in my “library” (spare bedroom which is no longer a bedroom) to be read and I just can’t stop bringing home more. I love stopping at any “little library” that I see. Today I took my grandson to the second hand store in town and all the books were .50. I left with 17 books! Thankfully I never spend much money and I trade with others. DH is very much okay with my obsession although he does roll his eyes when he sees me come home with a bag full.
Supper tonight will be steak on a kaiser bun with macaroni salad, potato salad and Greek salad.

gypsygirl!! best wishes for your dh!!
son is very philosophical about being laid off.. more like the lack of work,--they all like him and willing to be supportive. and will give great references.
dh is getting his new car this weekend. I am also talking him into going to the next county over to get rid of fireworks out of our house on saturday.
now we have to sell the other car.
dinner will be leftover lemon pepper chicken, maybe make some pilaf.. and some salad. some strawberries for dessert.
