I have recently been diagnosed with IGG4. Back in 2020 one of my neck lymph nodes became very swollen, I had a needle biopsy and it was determined I did not have lymphoma. However they kept growing and were finally removed in 2023, They found IGg4 and after several more tests and what not they also found IGg4 in my nose. I had my course of steroids and I avoided infusions but my latest test detected more swollen nodes so I think infusions might be in my future. They sound scary, I will appreciate your thoughts and experiences.

Is it the same as rituximab also called rituxan? If so, I had it 21 years ago when I had stage 4 non-hodgkins lymphoma. I had no trouble with it. I did suck on hard candy as the infusion started, because I had a metallic taste in my mouth. Not sure if the rituxan or the chemo caused the massive dry mouth, but I used Biotene products to deal with that.
Sorry you are dealing with health issues.

I took rituxan for about 5 years for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I only stopped because we moved and were going to be traveling, so I switched to a daily pill, rinvoq.
I had no adverse reactions to rituxan. I went every 6 weeks for my infusion. I would get a dose of steroids and benedryl {or other antihistamine} before the rituxan. My infusions took about 4 hours. I would be sleepy afterwards but that could have been from the antihistamine.
Good luck. I how if you do it,it works for you.

My husband was on Rituxan for 3 years for non Hodgkin's lymphoma. He had a long round the first year, but the second and third years were briefer courses. He has been clear since. He had mild nausea and tiredness a day or two after treatment, but otherwise was ok. Im sorry about your diagnosis, and hope your treatment is successful and doesn't give you any side effects.
