DD found some old newspapers she wants to use in an art project, and by old I mean from 1996...and I thought there was some PH neutralizing spray that you could buy for scrapbooking. Either I'm searching using the wrong terms, or it doesn't exist anymore.
Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

I think you’re referring to Archival Mist spray? I don’t think it’s made anymore ☹️. I know sprays exist for preserving books though and way back when some people experimented with some type of milk of magnesia concoction.
Edit: A quick google search reveals the active ingredient in deacidification spray is magnesium oxide. From this perspective using a milk of magnesia based liquid makes sense since the active ingredient is magnesium hydroxide. I’m not recommending you do so, just passing on info.

I just do a scan and print as a color copy. It looks pretty much the same and won’t yellow like newsprint. No need for the Archival Spray.

The art project/artist is very into repurposing things in her art, and gets really snooty about "wasting" paper (as only a 17-year-old can) but I will suggest that, if I can't figure out something else.

I guess that's a real sign that scrapbooking isn't big any more. I would've thought that something like that would still be available, but I guess it's a specialty preservation/archiving products for pros now, judging by the price of the stuff linked above - oof!!

I did see one called bookkeeper spray that looks to do the same thing, but it is pretty expensive.
