I have AML (Acute myeloid leukemia) and was told I am in morphologic remission!!!

Here's another one. Saturday, we had our final event closing out our fundraiser that took most of the year in planning and happening and our son asked if we wanted to go to Las Vegas for a couple of days. We left on Monday, he drove the whole way, spent two nights there and ate our hearts out and just back last night. Except for the heat, it was just what we needed to recharge.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary last weekend with a getaway to Gloucester MA. Turns out that was the weekend of the St. Pietro Fiesta, and there were thousands of people centered around our hotel. Our balcony had the front row view of the greasy pole competition, which is the highlight of the festival. We had a blast. Not the peaceful weekend I envisioned, but so much fun. The hotel staff was laughing at me as I was asking what was going on and why was it so busy there — it’s their biggest weekend of the year.
