What's the last small great thing that happened to you?

I lost 2.2 pounds this week. Saturday is my weigh-in day so that was a good start to the weekend.

I found a local neighborhood fish restaurant that has grilled shrimp skewers on their summer menu. Most places seem to have deep fried breaded shrimp. Finding grilled shrimp made me ridiculously happy. Silly, I know.

My friend offered to come with me to my MRI appointment, to sit with me while I waited and to treat me to cake when it was over.

My son and grandson bouught me a Lego Orchid and put it together and gave me. Its so cool.

  Wonderful feeling isn't it!  

I needed a new phone and there was a new special from BELL that with my Small Business Licence, I pay only $39.00 a month (+ $20. for a new phone for 24 months) for unlimited Talk & Text for Canada, USA & Mexico!  No roaming fees.  This is an incredible deal!  I have a new Samsung phone with lots of memory and more!

Just before the end of my workday yesterday I was messaging with my boss on zoom. I asked him if there was anything else he was concerned about before I left. His response was “your happiness.” My response to him was “ha ha ha ha ha.” Then my phone rang, and it was him saying that he was glad he could make me laugh and that he really is concerned about my happiness. I thanked him and wished him a happy weekend. He’s a great guy, an amazing boss and has helped me so much in the three years he’s been with the company.

Last night we had dinner with friends we haven't seen for tooooo long and it was lovely 

I joined Planet Fitness, had my first workout and then had the hydro massage. I can’t wait to go back. I quit the gym in 2020.

We just got a new sofa and it's a gorgeous teal color which I love so much more than the gray sofa it's replacing.

Also, we've had several days in a row that have been breezy and in the 70s, and as far as I'm concerned, it could be like that every day of the summer and I'd be thrilled.

We finally finished phase 1 of our backyard makeover (phase two will come over the winter). It is so nice to go outside and sit under our new patio and pergola and just be. The last several nights DH and I have been going to swim at dusk --- when the landscape lights & garden lights come on. It's just so nice to swim, hit the shower and go to bed. Usually I am busy 'doing' until it's time for shower/bed, and I love our new routine.

I love Vienna; it is a favourite city for me!  Too bad that the concert halls are closed for the season and that the Lipizzaner horses are away for the summer. 

Don't bother with Sacher-Torte as it is dry and not very great tasting.  But do go to the Manner wafer cookie store.  Yummy.

Ds is bummed about the Lipizzaner horses. I'm not a fan of Sacher-Torte, because it is dry, and not very tasty. Dh however, loves it. I do like Manner Neapolitan wafers and it looks like there is a store near us. Yum. Thanks for the reminder.
