If you buy a cut-file for something specific (rather than something more generic) - do you re-use it or is it a once and done?
I bought some outdoorsy cut file last year to scrap DD17's summer trips and she's taking/has taken two similar ones this year. Would it be weird to use the same layered titles albeit in different or at least non-identical colours on layouts from both years' trips? I'm thinking specifically about the white water rafting one as I struggled to find stuff for last years.

I would absolutely re-use them as often as I could. Those pages won't be anywhere near each other in the album, will they? Even if they were, I don't think it would be an issue.

I don't see why not. Add some little embellishment on top of the title to change the look--a fish, sunglasses, a wave, some glitter (for water) or epoxy. It would be easy to add a little something that will change the viewers focus.

Like AussieMeg, I suggest using your cut files - just like punches, metal dies, stamps, etc. - as often as you wish. After all, you bought/downloaded them to use! With different colors, elements, & sketches/layouts, especially in different albums, IMHO it's a non-issue. Happy scrapping!

Even cutting it in a different paper will make the repeat less noticeable, so if you cut it in white cardstock last time you could try a pattern this time. I'd absolutely reuse something that is just perfect for your new pages, especially given it's in a different album.

i've bought one and done tools so why not cut files? sometimes you just need something specific.

I reuse mine all the time. As mentioned above, if you cut them out of different papers they look different. Sometimes I find that resizing the cut file also make them look quite different. Depending on the cut file, you can also play around with using the negative vs the positive. So, for example, you can cut the image out of your background or another paper, and then put something behind it rather than using it as a die cut.

As others have said, there is nothing wrong with using the same cut file, especially if you change up the papers, and embellish differently. There are plenty of ways to change it up, and it will be separated from the previous layout by several pages.
