donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas, coordinated by jenjie and myboysnme , helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep DONNA's memory alive. So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos into scrapbooks while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme Theme for this July DONNA challenge: Let's Celebrate! So many things in our lives to celebrate: graduations, weddings, engagements, anniveraries, birthdays.... Or take this chance to celebrate your country or your home town. For this theme, the celebration can be as big or as small as you would like. Maybe you--or someone you love--has recovered from an illness, or met a goal. Baby slept through the night? Whatever it is, let's see a card or page celebrating it! As always, the link between your page or card and this theme is what you SAY it is LOL.
This challenge is open to anyone, but if you are a member of a challenge team looking for points: ONE point for EACH photo you scrap in July, 2024, no matter the theme. TEN points for meeting the July Donna theme on your project Please have fun with this challenge and we would love to see what you come up with!
My LO will follow in a couple of days. But feel free to jump in here ahead of me.

Here is my LO, put together with photos my dgd sent me after their prom at end of June. This was a bitter sweet weekend for these young ladies. They spent the last year at a hockey academy, spending hours and days and weekends practicing, playing, traveling together, and now they are all heading in separate directions. They are from different communities and won't see each other even when coming home for holidays or visits. On the other hand, they are celebrating the end of high school, the beginning of adulthood. So glad they did this, too, together! I love how these hockey playing friends decided to do their prom photos with hockey sticks in hand! And I love how their dresses are so pretty: a scrapbookers' dream! THIS is how you PROM! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I chose to do a layout from my Dad's 82nd birthday for this challenge.

Thanks for playing, AussieMeg! Love the muted masculine colours yet with the definite air of celebration. Love the pic of him with his cake.
