Happy Sunday!
It's going to be 100+ again today so my BIL, sister and I are going to see the new Quiet Place movie. We've seen them all together and we still tease BIL about eating nachos during the quiet scenes which is pretty much the whole movie.
No idea what's for dinner tonight. We may end up at our other sister's house and the pool. I'm so over the heat and it's only June. We've still got a long, hot summer ahead of us.
Hope you all have a great day!

DH and I walked early as we're heading to 99° today. Dinner will be Teriyaki Chicken over rice and sautéed sugar snap peas. We're watching the old show Spooks/MI5 and, I must say, they sure kill off the cast on a regular basis. I'm guessing because the actors are so good, they get starring roles after a couple of seasons on Spooks. Nicola Walker is a good example.

I guess forgetting what day it is is a hazard of retirement. 😂 Sunday funday will soon be Monday for me. I'm nervous to even look at my calendar. 😉 I'm quilting today. My friend Wendy said I just need to snap out of my fear and get to work. I am a process over product crafter. So usually my hobbies are just playing and if they turn out poorly, I don't really care. I had fun playing and that's all that counts for me. However I really want the camper quilt to come out nice. The fabric cost me a lot of money. And I am tripped up because I keep thinking my skill level isn't where it needs to be for the outcome I want. Hence, my procrastination. 😉 It's ok. My friend Wendy kicked me. 😂 I'm working on it. My progress is on the craft thread. Today I'm having BBQ rechauffe. I have some salads and like 3 lentil burgers left. Jeremy also has three burgers so I assume he will cook them when he gets home from golfing. It was hooooooooot yesterday. Jeremy let Kylon play with the hose sprayer. By the end of it, the two of them were soaked.

It’s a breezy, sunny day here in PA. I need to get outside and do some weeding. I then plan on finishing the book I’m reading to finish off my June list. (12 books - retirement is a wonderful thing!) I have a tender spot in my heart today knowing that we are putting down sweet Bella tomorrow. She is struggling so much so it’s the right time but it still hurts. So today will be a gentle day for all of us as we get our last snuggles in. Dinner is a chicken salad made with leftover rotisserie chicken and anything in the fridge veggie wise that needs to be used up. We call this kitchen sink salad as we throw in everything but the kitchen sink. Have a restful Sunday, Peas!

We're starting a heat wave. Ick! I have to go to the store and do a shop-til-ya-drop. Somehow I need a list full of groceries. Then I'll come home, sit w/my video game, practice my aria and scales and also, clean out my office a bit. We're having our windows replaced next week and I need to move some stuff around so that they can get to the windows. I have so much stuff to store and not enough closet space. When you're young and you buy a house you don't necessarily think about all of the things you'll accumulate over the years that will need to be stored. We have been trying to declutter, but some things are here to stay, like my stack of unused puzzles. Those take up a lot of room. I'm going to make chicken Florentine for dinner. It is good for rechauffe and as we hit triple digit temps this week I'll want to keep it as cool as possible inside.
Judy26, my heart goes out to you. ((((HUGS)))). Enjoy your today, my tribe.

I'm sorry for all of you in a heatwave. It was hot here yesterday but today is 63. I've got jeans on. Temp will climb this weeks but not crazy.

My Sunday is almost over! We have had hot weather for the past few days, but today was a bit cooler than expected . Still really humid, so not at all pleasant. I shouldn’t complain - it is summer after all and it’s not as hot as some of you are dealing with. As DH is away, I was on the bus and train into church this morning. It was worth the effort, as my favourite priest was scheduled for Mass today and then we had the bonus of the summer return of a priest who was with our community for over 20 years before he was asked to go to the US and teach at a Jesuit university there in 2020. He comes back every summer for 6-8 weeks, and it’s always good to see him. As I had to come home on the trains, I decided that rather than just change trains in the city centre, I’d get off and eat lunch in there, as it was after 12 when I left the after Mass coffee and chat. I’ve been crocheting this afternoon and will do a bit more this evening while watching the football. England v Slovakia is on now and later will be Spain v Georgia. Judy26, I am sorry about your dog. It is such a hard, but yet compassionate decision to make. Dinner is Thai yellow curry with chicken and vegetables and rice.

So today will be a gentle day for all of us as we get our last snuggles in. When we had to put our pug to sleep, we planned 7 days of 'fun' for her. She got to eat burgers and scrambled eggs and we even rented a beach house because she loved the beach. It was such a celebration of her life and what she meant for us that it made it easier to let go when it was time. it's never easy but enjoy and spoil her the best you can and celebrate what she means to you.

Judy26: Thinking of you. I can’t even imagine. We’ve only had Walker 18 months and I can’t imagine him not being here now. Hugs to Bella. While most of you are dealing with a heatwave, winter has arrived at our house today. It’s 15 degrees C and I’m dressed in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I even put on socks this morning! DH and. Buddy went for an ATV ride and came home early because they were cold! Supper will be pulled pork fries for me and burgers for DH.

judy26. many hugs. our dog is old and I dread that decision.
went to church this morning. our regular pastor out with covid, so we had a retired minister preach.. he is a regular attendee.. great sermon on forgiveness.. he related how he tripped a girl in 4th grade .. and the consequences thereof.. (probably 75 yrs ago!!!)...he was documenting his own long path to being quicker to forgive. not always easy.
the weather is breezy and hot for us--69 degrees. after a horrible game last night, today the giants baseball team are dominated the hated LA dodgers.
I went to trader joes after church.. terrible parking on a sunday.. and got home and realized I forgot what I mainly wanted there.. salmon for dinner. I am going back with dh after the game so he can run in and buy it. so it is salmon and left over couscous.. and strawberries for dessert.

Hugs to you, Judy26. And a peaceful time for both Bella and you tomorrow. I was going to make pasta salad with chicken apple sausage (and whatever veggies I want to get rid of) for dinner tonight, but DS is here and cooking a chicken dinner from a meal kit. So I guess the pasta salad will be tomorrow night. It will be hot all week anyway, so that’s okay. cadoodlebug, apparently it was already 102 degrees in Santa Rosa an hour ago. Not so terrible here, relatively speaking … 88 now. OH!! I have a new great niece named Mina Juliette, born 24 hours ago. And my brother has his third granddaughter. He is very pleased.

Judy26 I am so sorry. Give your sweet Bella all the love and snuggles and treats. So hard - thinking of you. Today did not turn out the way I had planned but it was still a good day. Maybe some of you can send a little of your heat this way? More rain and just not warm. I want summer *pout.* I made a big lunch/brunch with fruit, sausage, and stuffed French toast so I am not going to make dinner and we have some leftover sausage and kale soup we can have. Dh might reheat a pizza to go with it.

cadoodlebug we just finished spooks yesterday. No one is indispensable on that show. We were amazed how many left. lucyg congrats on your niece. jeremysgirl adorable picture. Judy26 I'm so sorry this day has arrived. They are such precious gifts for a short time. Hugs to you. Went to another memorial yesterday for an extended family member. Then last night came down with another stomach virus. Ordered a Covid test just in case as I feel so unwell.
