You know, it is the little things that do mean a lot to people.
I'm short and get so frustrated at the store because I can't reach the top 2 shelves. Of course it seems like so much I want are on those shelves and I have to often ask a taller customer walking by to help me.
Yesterday, I was at the store and just looking at a new product that was on a higher shelf. A young man that worked there saw me and asked if he could get it off the shelf for me. I didn't want the product, I was just looking so I thanked him and said I was just looking but I appreciated his offer to get it for me.
It was just so nice to have someone actually offer to assist...I mean he noticed and actually stopped and took the time to help a customer. That should be the norm, but it isn't and I just thought it was really nice.
