Good morning.
I didn't do my entire grocery-a-thon yesterday, so ods and I might go today. My voice lesson was cancelled due to the holiday week. So, I have the whole day free. I've been trying to finish a puzzle and that will be my main project, because it's going to be super hot.
DH made pizza dough last night and he'll make pizza for both dh and himself.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to this week? It should be a quiet week here w/some hobby time and a yak w/my mom friends on Wed in my new living room.
Judy26 , my heart goes out to you today. ((((HUGS)))).
KelleeM, I'm thinking of you and your beloved husband today. ((((HUGS)))).
May this week be the first best week of the month for all!

Judy26 , I hope my sweet boy Kellie is waiting at The Rainbow Bridge for Bella. Big hugs to you and your family. I have Creative Crafters this morning ~ our host changed the time from 1PM to 9AM because of the heat. Dinner is up in the air at this point.

Judy26 and KelleeM ❤️ Thinking of you and your families. I feel like it's been forever since I've been on here, though it's only been a few days. DH and I went to a friend's cookout on Saturday, and the same folks who catered our wedding made all of the food for the event. So, so tasty. I, of course, got a few bug bites while DH got none. He itched one of them for me last night, and I'm pretty sure it tripled in size overnight. I have an unrelated appointment later today, and it will be a small miracle if the top of my leg makes it there with me. Dinner this week is stuffed pepper soup that DH made yesterday while I went out with a friend to Costco and Michael's. We'll also have hot dogs and fries for the 4th. Apart from that, I'm finishing up assembling evaluations for conference sessions. I did a pivot table to make it easier to add in the numerical data, and now I just need to weed out the "n/a" and "no comment" and "this room was too cold!" comments. ETA: DH and I have been talking about cutting cable, so I've started going to the library for DVDs in addition to seeing what's available via our smart TV and Netflix. We recently started watching The Sopranos, and are enjoying it thus far. We're almost done with season 1. I really enjoy Lorraine Bracco's character, in addition to the main cast, of course.

Happy Monday! Judy26 Sending you good thoughts today I'm working on reporting at work this week. I'll have the 4th off and then work half a day on the 5th so I've got a lot to get done before that. I'm taking dinner to my parents tonight as my mom hurt her knee and is in a lot of pain. I'm not sure what i'm going to have yet. I went to costco last week and picked up some tikka masala simmering sauce so I may have that with some chicken tonight. Hope you all have a great day!

Thinking love and healing thoughts to Judy26 and KelleeM . Tough days for both of you. Last Thursday I had my annual check up and asked about certain issues with menopause. One of my biggest ones is joint pain along with bloating. I had been taking a vitamin supplement made for joint pain and to help with bloating, along with drinking super greens. I ran out of the supplement and didn't have them to take for 4 days until the new batch arrived and let me tell you the pain I was in. That supplement was working for sure! I wanted to make sure it was fine to take and it is having no affect on my liver and my blood work was good! I also finally decided to take the tetnus shot that I have been declining. Oh my. I think the only side affect I did not have was vomiting. My arm is still sore and we are at day 4. Friday I went to bed at 5, right after I got off work. I truly don't know if I am going to survive getting the shingles vaccine! Not sure for dinner, I have hamburger that I may make into something! Nice short week this week, so that is a plus!

Happy Canada Day everyone! I'm not doing anything for it but it is today! Thinking of you and sending hugs to Judy26 and KelleeM! In about half an hour I am going over to a neighbour's place to meet her cat and get some feeding instructions ... I volunteered to take care of kitty for a few days later in the week ... haven't done that in many years! I'll take a photo of her and post on the weekend! I'm having lunch with a teacher friend ... The rest of the day is open ... Dinner is up in the air ...

Good evening. I met with a friend for lunch today, but went into the city early to do a bit of shopping at the Asian grocery, a yarn store and a bookshop. They have Bluet (an Aussie kids cartoon about a family of dogs) books, but in German and I saw one called ‘Oma’ - it is ‘Granny’ in the original, so I had to buy it for the girls. After I came home I continued on with my crochet project, which is coming along nicely (pictures tomorrow in craft thread). Still not sure what dinner is tonight, even though it’s already past 6pm. I have two lots of leftovers, or I might do pizza. DH has decided he’s coming home tomorrow from his trip, instead of flying on to Stockholm and coming home Thursday morning. It will be good to have him home. Judy26 and KelleeM - big hugs to both of you today.

So, I have the whole day free. I've been trying to finish a puzzle and that will be my main project, because it's going to be super hot. I wish! I'll be free after my 1:00 meeting. So hopefully it doesn't last the full hour. It should be a quiet week here w/some hobby time and a yak w/my mom friends on Wed in my new living room. Pics? Last Thursday I had my annual check up and asked about certain issues with menopause. One of my biggest ones is joint pain along with bloating. I had been taking a vitamin supplement made for joint pain and to help with bloating, along with drinking super greens. I ran out of the supplement and didn't have them to take for 4 days until the new batch arrived and let me tell you the pain I was in. That supplement was working for sure! I wanted to make sure it was fine to take and it is having no affect on my liver and my blood work was good! I don't have these issues but I'm still curious to know what the supplement is, in case they do arise. My main issue is the hot flashes. However, knock on wood, I haven't had a single hot flash since I started eating a plant-based diet. So over three weeks now. I had heard increasing your soy intake could help, and I guess it did. I'm trying not to jinx it. I don't know what is for dinner. I'm tired of rechauffe. I actually need to go (Jeremy) to the store and pick up some things. My new crochet pattern got released this morning. So I've been looking it over. Might run into my office and print it. I need to figure out my medicine too. My Riteaid is going out of business. They claim they can transfer my scripts to the Walgreens across the street. I just have to call. And of course they didn't auto refill any of my meds because of the going out of business. And now I'm living this morning without some. So I need to get my butt in gear and figure this out.

I'm working on my sister in law's album today.. only about 15 pages to finish transferring pics from old to new.
then cleaning up scrap space.. one pic fell off a page and I know it is around but can't find it.
finishing up closet clean up.. may go to goodwill today.
the fog is on the coast and it is only 60 degrees so won't be too bad today.
dinner.. off to the store and maybe get chicken for chicken stir fry. and a salad. and some medical calls (the ones I hate to do).

I’m doing pretty good today, considering. The two dozen butternut donuts disappeared at break time. 😊 I’m currently off added sugar so I abstained.
Dinner is grilled chicken on a big salad.

Happy July 1! Hoping everyone had a good weekend. Thinking of you both Judy26 and KelleeM and sending virtual hugs. Quick update on DH before I head to the hospital for the afternoon/evening. It's definitely a reaction to the Keytruda that landed him there. He is still on a saline drip, on oxygen and now doing breathing treatments several times a day. Additionally they have him on steroids and who knows what else. Working on getting the inflammation under control. He's feeling better and staring to push back which is a good sign. His internist has been fantastic. Today he brought in the pulmonologist who got him through Covid (Delta, 6 weeks in hospital) and DH is very happy about that. Not at all happy with the oncologist and he will be replaced, but that's for another time. Right now the goal is to get him home. Hopefully before the 4th. My routine has been to go up after lunch and then stay until about 7 pm. Absolutely no clue what dinner will be. By the time I get home I just eat whatever looks easy. Today I'm going to try something new. Our oven has an app that allows me to control it from anywhere so my plan is baked potato. I'll wash and put them in the oven before I leave, then turn it on about an hour before I plan to eat. Hoping this works! Stay cool everyone!

Well, I went to meet the cat and she is sooooooo sweet! Her name is Bean and she is about five years old and really tiny ... love her! I will be feeding her and visiting with her from Friday morning to Sunday morning ... And I found out that the owner is the mum of the really cute guy that I want to set Molly up with! We will see if we can make this work!

I have a BOGO offer from Papa Murphy’s (take & bake pizza) that expires today, so I’m going to take advantage of that. Will get my favorite plus a veggie pizza for my sisters (one veggie, unless she feels like eating meat today; one doesn’t eat pork, unless she feels like it today). jeremysgirl, please do not take offense. You can’t imagine how annoying my sisters can be. KelleeM and Judy26, you are both in my thoughts today. Kellee, love your butternut donuts story.

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!
The grandboys participated in the kids fishing derby this morning and grandboy #2 got second place in his age category. He caught a 16” sucker. He won a new fishing pole, some lures and a trophy. He was so excited!
DH and I went for a bike ride this morning in the local trail. We rode 30 km and then stopped for a sub which we ate by the water. It’s a beautiful day here!
Now we are chilling on the deck for the rest of the afternoon. Supper will be leftover pulled pork fries for me and DH will come up with something for himself.

Thanks for the new-baby well wishes on yesterday’s thread, scrapmaven and Marina. (This is about a new great-niece born over the weekend. No need for the rest of you to go back and look.) They live in North Oakland, scrapmaven, so not too far away from me. And just a few blocks from my brother in South Berkeley. Happy Canada Day to all our Canuck friends! 🍁🇨🇦

Busy day at work today.
I did get to squeeze in a quick lunch with my dil and baby Hudson. My two sister in laws were also there and got to meet him. One lives out of state and she really wanted to see Hudson before she left. He was a perfect little angel. I am so smitten with him. Today he is 4 weeks old.
I had a really yummy chicken curry on a green salad, so tasty!!
Dinner is up in the air. I have chicken thawed so maybe I will grill that. Who knows!

Thanks for all of the Bella love, everyone. We will miss her soft beagle ears and unconditional love for a long, long time. Knowing she is chasing bunnies and baying up a storm with her sister Lucy is a consolation. My DS drove an hour yesterday so he could spend the night cuddling his “best girl”. That broke me, I have to admit.
Reading all of your words of support ha been comforting. You all are the best of what makes the world go round.

Judy26 I'm glad your baby is at peace. I send my hugs. ❤️ We went to a newer place for dinner tonight. You make your own custom stir fry or salad. I thought that it might be a place where both Jeremy (meat) and me (veg) could both be satisfied. It totally was. I had udon noodles with roasted tofu, broccoli, cauliflower, green peppers, bok choy. I had a sesame ginger sauce and topped it with scallions and roasted peanuts. Jeremy had almost like chicken fried rice the way he assembled and sauces his meal. Both of us really liked it.

Happy Canada Day Canadians. leannec I hope your matchmaking works out. Has Molly seen your neighbor? Big hugs Judy26 and KelleeM I’ve been mia. My sister and I gave her dil to be a bridal shower this weekend so I was up there all weekend. We’re both extra in our own ways. She is with baking and I was with decor. I was so busy I didn’t take pictures. I didn’t take Poppy with me so to punish me she chewed one of my watercolor pads. Made grilled buffalo chicken wraps except I was out of buffalo sauce. So they were barbecue. Dh had sweet potato fries. I don’t like them though.

**GypsyGirl**, I'm sorry to hear that your dh is so ill, still. May he start to heal from this hospital stuff and feel better very soon. Are you bringing in an oncologist from MD Anderson? I'm never afraid to fire a doctor. If you aren't OK w/the oncologist then out he goes. jeremysgirl, I hope that you'll get your meds tmw. I know that it's hard to skip meds.

Are you bringing in an oncologist from MD Anderson? I'm never afraid to fire a doctor. If you aren't OK w/the oncologist then out he goes. That is my choice. At this point I think he is willing to talk to them as well. I'm sure this doctor is good (he was recommended by one of DH's doctors), he just isn't a good fit with us and our expectations for communication.
